Taking away the ability to farm preferred GMs is... just baffling
If people want to farm for nightfall weapons using the path of least resistance, what's the problem?
It's not our fault that some nightfalls are absurdly long and difficult while others are short and reasonable.
This isn't going to force me into playing undesirable GMs. This just means I won't play this game as much.
Your "play our game how we want you to play it!" attitude has always been frustrating.

Dang people. It's been confirmed on Reddit by DMG. I read the TWAB correctly. Once a nightfall has been finished, it's off the catch up list for the rest of the season. EVEN the last 3 weeks. Period. Confirmed. I don't care if you misread TWAB and disagree with me.

3 RepliesIts like they're frustrated that nobody wants to play the overly difficult, crappy ones like: proving grounds, glassway, and corrupted. How dare you wait for the easier ones to get good loot? People play difficult activities in the hope of getting decent stuff to make endgame activities easier to tolerate. We don't play them to suffer and torture ourselves. I play games for fun, and when it stops being fun, ill give my time to something else.

The problem is that it makes the rest of the playlist irrelevant. Another case of the devs stepping in to protect the game from “player efficiency”.

2 RepliesI think it's great bungie want to try new things. The issue is they need to look at community feedback before they make these changes. So far I've seen majority of people against this. Bungie need to leave the system as it currently is. Last time they made a decision they ignored the community and then went back on the idea, yes I'm talking about weapons sunsetting. They're just going to make more work for themselves.

Bungie is sooo bad. 2 seasons back when they started double loot for nfs, guess which nf they chose? Lake of Shadows. How could they? That’s the hardest one of all.

2 RepliesAgree 100%. The "git gud" crowd is gonna shut up real fast as soon as the best/most desirable gun to farm comes around on a Glassway rotation. I'm good -- my friends that I farm with are good, but I doubt we're willing to go through hours and hours of Glassways just for weapon rolls.

22 RepliesI honestly can't think of a single aspect of this game that Bungie has gotten correct. Everything is completely wrong. Instead of doing what other games do which is to create incentives for the whales and, hopefully, poach a few more whales in the process, they have dedicated this game ONLY to their whales. The YouTube content makers, streamers and, of course, the ones who pony-up for everything in Eververse. Problem is, only poaching your whales means the other fish get away. I'm happy to be one of those fish. I've stated this a dozen times, easy, but I'm so looking forward to just getting through the next season, getting whatever I can of what I paid for, and then getting the f*** out of this.

10 RepliesIt's very simple, really: Bungie made GM's to be end game streamable content. Bungie hated how we used to sit back in D1 from afar and safely shoot down bullet sponge bosses with scouts and snipers. Bungie then makes end game content that involves us sitting from afar safely shooting down bullet sponge bosses with scouts and snipers. Players find the short/easy strikes so we don't have to sit there all day on long painfully boring strikes. No one wants to tune in to see lake of shadows being streamed on repeat 24/7. Bungie punishes players for playing an efficient way. This is nothing more than a bungie flex/tantrum because we are simply trivializing their efforts "end game" content. **spinfoil hat time** this is also why I believe they nuked artifact power bonus at the last minute for when GMs launched. If you don't remember, they waited until about a week before they released GM's and were like "hey, btw, don't waste time grinding away because your power will be nixed at x level". Really, a week before? What do you think people were doing to that point because you never mentioned an artificial cap[i] in a season you released unlimited power[/i]. Again, not confirmed, but i strongly believe they saw that people were getting to the artifact bonus they didn't think we would no life grind to and were going to trivialize the high level of the GM.

9 RepliesOnly the “elite” want content to be available to them lol. these kids and their digital pride, when will these idiots understand players still at the end of the day have to complete the content in order to even get the stuff? I don’t understand why some players want some hard core dark souls destiny. Is that not what trials is about? Pve content? Difficult is fine, impossible to 90% of the players is not.

The OP is spot on Not sure why the way people play has to be micro managed Strikes-subclass is chosen for me IF I want to progress/get higher tier loot Nightfall-weapons are chosen for me via champions/artifact mods Bounties-force me to play with specific weapons/playlists to progress What is the issue in being able to select a GM the last three weeks of the season??? Oh you are going to get too much loot!!! EVERYTHING material wise is capped so what am I missing? I try to complete all the GM’s but some players may only be able to complete the easier GM’s or maybe they just like playing a particular one Maybe bungie should get my account details and just play my characters for me according to their script How about looking into the issues that frequently come up on the forums instead New PVP maps Ability to save load outs Vault space Ability to auto delete blue engrams Just waiting for a TWAB that does not frustrate me to some degree…

Edited by Bubble: 7/17/2021 6:07:31 PMI understand the arguments against... but if you're honest, when was the last time you thought "Oh, if I only had the adept version of that weapon, I would had killed the boss / champions / etc instead of wiping ?". They did a "good" job at not making them meta at all. The benefits which actually affects gameplay are so small it borderline feels like a fight for cosmetics.

7 RepliesI agree with you. Arms dealer is my jam! If I see glassway, corrupted, or proving grounds I avoid them on GM like the plague. This sucks. I don't care about meaningless titles I only care about the loot.

You know what would be cool? They should give everyone a god roll adept weapon for free. Then you wouldn't have to go do the GMs at all, they are so hard and boring and long and pointless anyway. Maybe we could get one on the season pass. Then we could all go back to doing regular Strikes and Gambit and Patrols and stuff that are the real fun of the game. Oh, and free timelost weapons for everyone also. What's the point of grinding endlessly for god rolls. Just give them to us and get it over with, fun activities are waiting for us to do them. Now that we get Shards from vendors, they could remove GMs altogether. Any and all hard content should be removed because they are too hard, or too easy, depending on who you ask. But what would be the point of playing at all? The answer is ....Patrols. The majority of players are doing them, so they must be the best and most fun thing in the game. Let's go Bungie, GIVE US FREE LOOT ALREADY!

4 RepliesI'm honestly glad I stopped playing a few months ago. I only stick around here every now and again to see if by some magical miracle they get the game back on track and then I'd happily log back in and play my little socks off. Bungie's insitence on forcing players to play the way Bungie wants them to play, while at the same time preaching about player agency and letting players play the way they want to play, is just such a facepalm. It's actually funny. This franchise is being milked so hard and any semblence of potential the game had is diminishing with every new update.
