Sandbox refresh when?

When are we going to get a sandbox refresh? When is the sandbox going to advocate using high risk & high reward loadouts, compared to the current low risk high reward? Arbalest is overpowered and broken. No ways around it. It doesn't have nearly as much charge time to count for the absurd aim assist. Bastion is just a shotgun with superior range and ohk against supers. 600rpm autos are by far the easiest primaries to use and thus the pretty much the only primary I see on the opposing team. Then there's mountaintop, jötunn, sniper flinch etc. Autos need a hard nerf. Change my mind.

Only reason Bastion SEEMS "overpowered" is because traditional fusions are godawful right now. Only hard part is positioning against a 600 or 720 or certain pulse rifles. Snipers need: - Bodyshot damage nerf for PvP on middle and high impacts - Bullet magnetism being heavily reduced, if not outright removed (keep the sticky aim for controller) - Zoom put to be 40-45 MINIMUM - Flinch changes [quote]Autos need a hard nerf. Change my mind.[/quote] 600s need a minor nerf (if one at all), 720s need a minor buff, 360s need a decent sized buff, and 450s need a MONUMENTAL buff. FTFY You...       • Autos are Fine. Hand Cannons need a Range Nerf to put into Secondary Weapon Slots so Scout Rifles/DMR can actually be Used. The Day Hand Cannons get put into Secondary Weapon slot as a hard Hitting Side Arm, is the Day the Sandbox Evolves to have Versatility. We could have SMGS, fusion, HC, side arms, Autos, Scouts all in a healthy mix if Hand Cannons were in a Healthy place rather than over represented. Remember there's a difference between a Hand Tool and a Power Tool. A Hand Cannon is a Hand Tool, an Auto Rifle is a Power Tool. Both get the job done, one gets it done Faster A Scout Rifle should be what all you Hand Cannon Users use ur Primary and Cannon as Secondary. Why do Snipers have Low Powered Scopes, and Rifles have Iron sights or 1.25* Holographic Sight. Why aren't people using Future versions of ACOG Sights, and Variables Scopes on Scout/Auto Rifles? Well Snipers have thermal/variables or something different than Low Power Scopes. We have a Hand Cannon with a ACOG Scope and a 50 caliber bullet, Arianas Vow? It takes this very problem and makes it visable. That type of hand Cannon only proves that they need be brought back in line as. Secondary, cause than This Argument in a War game that Power creep is a thing? Is stupid, no faction in War CARES ABOUT BALANCE, so if I am being asked to save the a galaxy in a video game give me actual guns, or I'll go play a different game. Sunsetting is an attempt to keep the grind going, because they have players addicted bro get the best hand cannon cause Hand Cannons are godly, every one wants thier Hand Cannon video montage, even if it's unrealistic. Nerf Hand Cannons if Autos are being ask to be nerfed,. So do Hand Cannons Change my mind [spoiler]this is a clear response to the last line of the OP, HAND cannon meta is GONE. AN AUTOMATIC FULL FEED RIFLE, is the workhouse of weapons, so in a video GAME set in the DYSTOPIAN FUTURE, let us have our Space RIFLES, HAND CANNON META NEEDS TO STAY GONE, I want a SCOUT versus AUTO Rifle Meta. Not a Hand Cannon only meta.[/spoiler]

        • Let's not do that thing. I would say buff everything (primary wise) to that crisp .67 ttk. Play with some aim assist numbers here and there so everything has some pros and cons. Maybe play with some Battlefield 1 like range optimization so weapons have an ideal range and too far and too close mess with the ttk. Idk, just spitballing here instead of complaining that MY favorite weapon type should just be the best and nerf everything else.

        • I really don't want a HC meta. I want a pulse, HC, Auto, Scout, Sidearm, and smg meta. We know some things will naturally be "the best" no matter how the balance patch is. The issue is how far behind are the other weapons compared to the best. Bungie has gone a long way sandbox wise. In terms of outliers for special weapons and outliers in general were better then 4 seasons ago. Remember erintil from 40 meters with backup plan? Remember recluse with a .4 ttk? Or last word on M&K ads and, Not Forgotten with a .67 ttk requiring only 2/3 crits? Or when autos were irrelevant? While I agree that the sandbox needs some help, I would go about it differently. Many smaller changes vs one big juicy sandbox update to make a 100k view video. I would start with helping some underpowered weapons and going over any old D2Y1 changes and reverting them. For example I would undo all the nerfs to 450 autos from d2y1. This results in a larger crit multipler and better range with means more accuracy. Then scouts get the range nerf in d2y1 reverted. And smg range nerf in d2y1 gets reverted. Next they need to look back at d1. What worked in that sandbox and what didn't. For example we had a similar issue with sniper flinch in d1 but bungie made changes that helped this issue. How much should snipers get nerfed? Back to d2y1 status where the scope redical shakes and flinch is hyper crazy? They also had lower AA in d2y1. So I belive in small numerous changes, and changing stats before considering damage values.

            How anyone can disagree with all of this I will never know. Upvote from me. Though one thing is for sure, I don't want to trade what we have now for another cancerous hand cannon meta. I got sick of that in the first three years. (That doesn't mean I don't want them to be competitive but I definitely don't want them to be better than anything else, especially weapon types out of its range archetype)
