Haunted Garbage
Am I the only person getting 750 gear from the Haunted Forest caches? I've opened about 10 so far, and the only items I get are over 1000 points below my current lvl. I noticed that the Decoder lets you preview the available items, and the legendary engrams show a power lvl of 1050.
Is this a bug? I can't foresee anyone searching for Cipher Decoders when the odds of getting an Event-Weapon are so low.... And the alternative gear is outdated garbage. I heard that Bungie addressed the lack of Decoder drops, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. I might be giving up on finding a Braytech Werewolf, if this event continues to be like this.

Go to Tangled shore bud and do patrols and PEs. I've been getting 10 to 15 CDs a day doing that. For me its the best place to get em atm. Happy hunting.

4 RepliesDunno bout you but I’ve been getting event weapons from the end chests no problemo. And for new players, getting ANY roll unlocks their curated MW versions that they can then pull from collections. How is this a bad thing?

7 RepliesGarbage is the state of destiny. Lazy design. Tone deaf to the community. Completely unfulfilling grind and rewards. Beyond light wont solve these problems. Hopefully the new exotics and "space magic" will keep us here indulging the power fantasy and sweet gun play. I'll breeze through the story "content" and settle in to the seasonal grind and spend most of my time in crucible.

The loot is pretty easy to get and it's a 750 event. You expect pinnacle gear when it doesn't promote pinnacle drops, besides the 7 wave drop?

The event is the same as last year so everything is still capped at 750, except blues! 🤣

this even was supposed to launch with beyond light, along side bungies' "new direction". if this is the amount of foresight we are getting from beyond light.... im genuinely concerned.

Already pulled both auto rifles from collections before the event, it is literally just something to do while we wait for Beyond Light

There will always be a "bug" in any event and in this one we just so happen to have 2 that were kind of important to some players. I'm just using it for the bright dust and cores while making it a challenge for myself to see how far I can get running it with randoms. Knowing we will have to start over for the umpteenth time leveling up with the sunsetting? it doesn't matter what happens because there isn't anything worth acquiring that you will be able to use in BL. The ship, sparrow, and even the ghost are a dime a dozen in this game that there is no value at all in acquiring them other than completing the triumphs. Take it for what it actually is, throw away content.

3 RepliesI don't get why people play these events anyways, it's the same each year. Don't worry it'll be the same next year since the forest was supposed to be vaulted long ago and Bungie planned to release it anyways when bl was supposed to already have dropped. Why change something and put cash into developing a new thing each year for the event when some cash whales will come in and buy out the store or some bored players come in and grind the endless hamster wheel for pieces of trash and add to the total playtime anyways with each yearly event? I sure wouldn't that's easy cash for barely lifting a finger!~

3 RepliesWeapon drops are low? I ran it twice and got each weapon. Didn't even have a cypher. I guess it's different for everyone. Also, you can infuse.

Colour palettes or full customization over shaders means they have to get rid of something that is an eververse item also ( so it generates income ) plus endgame reward. They’ll completely lose the “ omg look at this guy what shader is this” moment at the Tower. Can’t see that happening.

It's a stupid oversight on Bungie's part that the things are dropping at 750 instead of 1050 but it doesn't really matter. The power level is going to go up by 200 in a few weeks. Pretty slim chance that you would be using anything from this for endgame content before Beyond Light launches.

2 RepliesI think they did the low cipher drops because this event lasts for a month and they wanted to drag it out as much as possible. I'm more focused on the sparrow, ship and masks than anything but I rarely see a cipher so it will take awhile lol I did get to stage 7 with 50% complete and the game crashed lol I decided to play Anthem by myself because I was just pissed at that point :)

It's just filler content until beyond light. That's all it is. And yeah it's nothing higher than 750 but id rather do this than trials or anything PvP related. And it's easy stuff really it's not like it takes much luck or skills to do the activity
