Ummmmm delaying the game into Cyberpunk 2077 territory is a very bad idea. I think it really needed a September release to gain some traction going into the holiday season.
The lackluster seasons, lack of response to player concerns and now competing with some big titles in November. Sorry, sounds like a death sentence.

I’m still on the wait and see with Cyberpunk. So a lot of jank in the Melee system that is giving me Witcher 3 launch flashbacks(people forget the state of that game when it released and it was the first game CD Projekt Red releases that was actually made for humans.

Honestly the content would be so light that in no way would it be able to hold people until November. They are going to lose a large portion of population to CP2077 no matter when they release the game. Unless we get the taken king or forsaken People are going to leave and come back when they are done are done with other games

Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing a whole game. Destiny is 6 years old with a new DLC. Big difference. Destinys numbers were going to shrink regardless of release. Hell theyre even going up against Halo on Xbox during that same time. Of course it’s going to hurt. But how many times have we heard “________ is going to kill destiny!” Yet 6 years later we’re still here.

Two different genres, the games aren't competing with each other.

Would I buy Destiny or Cyberpunk? Cyberpunk 100% I mean just look at all the other games coming out around then that destiny has to compete with. Also new consoles coming out this holiday time too. They needed a September release. I'd rather buy something new and exciting rather than something dated, reskinned and extremely boring to play. I mean they still haven't addressed sunsetting, cheaters, time and investment, adding more events to the game etc. Right now Destiny is just grind the same old everything, for the same old gear that is going to be replaced. Literally no point to play a looter shooter when they is no loot to chase. Side note: Destiny already has a player retention issue, waiting til November to release new content is very bad. It'll be on sale by December.

The hell they aren’t
-
If you want to think a single player game is competing with a multiplayer game's expansion go ahead loool
-
If you think destiny’s pvp is competitive, all the power to you.
If you think destiny’s pvp is competitive, all the power to you.
When did I say that lmfao

There's no -blam!-ing way Destiny could ever compete with Cyberpunk, even if they were the exact same genre. Put me in the situation of choosing to spend my money between Cyberpunk from CDPR or yet another Destiny expansion from Bungie and, oh boy... it's the most no brainer decision of my entire gaming life! The same would happen choosing between Halo Infinite and a Destiny expansion.

Edited by Erijian: 7/17/2020 9:39:41 PMThey're two different genres of games purchased to fill two different appetites. People who don't care about single player games will have zero interest in Cyberpunk just like those who don't care about multiplayer will have zero interest in Destiny. You also have people burnt out on Destiny too that likely wouldn't purchase the expansion in the first place. I feel kinda bad for you if you only are able to purchase one game though lol.
People who don't care about single player games will have zero interest in Cyberpunk
Cyberpunk is going to have multiplayer once it’s sorted out it’s not just a single player game
-
That's not at launch though.
-
True but I’m sure it will be worth the wait
-
For sure, Projekt Red is an amazing studio.

Edited by CookieNiki: 7/17/2020 10:35:36 PM
I feel kinda bad for you if you only are able to purchase one game though lol.
That's arrogance in a high level, right there. Be careful, your true colors are escaping your control. But if you want an answer for your worries about my financial state, just read below in this thread and you'll see what I intend to buy in November. hint: it's not yet another destiny expansion.

Edited by Erijian: 7/17/2020 10:47:41 PMHm? So you're saying I shouldn't feel bad that someone doesn't have enough free cash on hand to purchase all the games/expansions dropping in November? Are you saying I should laugh at them instead or something? Because I'd rather not. Edit: I personally don't care about your financial state by the way, just to address your post's edit. I don't wish it to be in a poor state though, especially with the Covid situation.

I do miss the times when trolling actually had some intelligence in it. SMH
I feel kinda bad for you if you only are able to purchase one game though lol.
lol =/= LOL lol is sarcastic and not to be taken seriously LOL is the "Haha, I'm laughing"
-
Whatever dude, if you're happy good for you, enjoy it.
-
Will do, same goes for you.

Edited by Team Swat Enjoyer: 7/17/2020 9:48:12 PMThat is my issue its fking dlc, but costing almost like a full game.
-
Yeah the expansion is a bit costly. They shouldn't be more than $30 imo.
-
Anthem already killed it bro.
goteeem

Sorry, all out of salt.
It's also knocking on the door of next gen console release dates... which isn't necessarily an awful decision, but a very dangerous game to play. However, without seeing what's under the bonnet; can anyone say what the best decision is? NB: I will be getting a PS5 and although D2 will be available I would prefer to play a dedicated PS5 title... because of this I see no reason to get the next expansion, although, I will still play F2P every now and again.
