Yeah, I could see maybe $80, but $125 for a ring that players earn the ability to buy and that probably costs maybe $5 to make and another $5 to ship is way overkill. Pure greed.

You think a solid silver, custom made ring costs $5? Boi.
-
“Custom made”, yeah that’s how they’re able to be mass produced, because they’re custom made LMAO They’re most likely made in bulk with molds. And price per unit is dramatically decreased the more is ordered at a time. So maybe it’d be worth $125 if I ordered it myself and had it custom made, but a few hundred, probably a few thousand at a time made and ordered in bulk is pocket change per unit. So yeah, i don’t think I’m exaggerating too much when I say it probably cost Bungie $5 a pop.
-
Not a chance. Even if it is molded, thats a one-off mold. Its still engraved, and hand painted. Its absolutely a custom job, and solid silver to boot. If you can find anywhere that would do all that for $5 a unit, you are clearly wasted in whatever job you do 😂
-
You really believe some dude out there is doing multi-thousand piece orders for hand crafted jewelry? You’re on some good ass crack, my dude
-
Seeing as theres a 3-4 month wait from ordering, yes, I believe there is a company with multiple employees hand-finishing those rings. $5 😂
-
Didn't they sell a FOAM sword for really big $$$$? Bungie doesn't know how to make good prices.
-
Facts. I get that it’s supposed to be sterling silver and everything and be good quality, but if the primary place you get money from is promotional material it doesn’t make sense.
-
Bro idek why they’d make it from that kind of material in the first place. More players would buy it if it was made of a cheaper, darker material with a price point of around $50. Shit, I could probably get a custom made ring made of cheap metal that looks exactly the same for half the price of the one Bungie is selling.
-
Precisely! The price and material just doesn’t make sense first and foremost for an independent company and secondly when deluxe edition of an expansion is already expensive.
