Is anyone else turned off by the RNG pinnacle system? They limit the number of pinnacle drops we can get a week, and then they make us rely on luck to level up. Last season I spent the last 3 weeks trying to level up from 1009 to 1010. I did every pinnacle drop activity except for the raid every week, that’s like 21 pinnacle drops over the course of 3 weeks and I didn’t get a single drop in the last slot I needed to hit 1010. So they throw in activities like Grandmaster Nightfalls, requiring a certain light level to even access, then lock our leveling behind RNG? Sure I could have grounded out bounties to level up my artifact but we shouldn’t have to to do that to get leveled up. They make us use RNG for stats and rolls on gear and weapons and RNG for leveling. This isn’t a good system and we’ve dealt with it for way too long at this point. Fix the pinnacle grind, make it worth doing. Right now I’m ready to put the controller down because 3 of my 4 Iron Banner +2 pinnacles dropped as leg armor. So basically half my pinnacle drops were a waste. The pinnacle grind doesn’t make me feel good about playing. I don’t feel rewarded for playing these activities. I’m frustrated with the drops 85% of the time and just relieved the remaining 15% of the time. We literally have a system that is completely unsatisfying. It’s not progression by playing, it’s grinding and praying.
