I do not get a lot of Bungies business decisions which was one of the main reasons for me to quit before Shadowkeep came out. I still have D2 on my watchlist because it has its moments for sure and I would love to see it shine. But the new business model is just so not welcoming returning players. In other MMO's it's common that they have a core base who keeps playing no matter how boring it may be at some stage and you have new ones and returning players who come back after a Year and start replaying content they missed out on. Why on Earth is this no longer possible with D2? Season gone, everything is gone. Enjoy a handful of new weapons and a new armor set in the loot pool. Honest question....who likes this model? In my opionion it is bad for both sides. The player who just misses out on things that would have made him spend $$$ and Bungie misses on those $$$. Also, on a side note. I know quite a few programmers. Not one of them would appreciate it if their code just vanishes after three months for something they worked weeks for. How is this model for Bungie's coders? Can they give up on the majority of what they have created so easily? I don't get it.

  • It’s not only codes vanishing, I feel this also encourages stale game mode design. Because having to come up with something new every few months is really challenging if you want to control the quality. What might happen is every new 6 people activity will look like each other and becomes stale after 3 runs. Bungie might as well concentrate their resources and design a truly fun 6 people activity that we can play for a long long time.
