Can we stop the Hunter boohooing please?
Every time some other class is having a meltdown because Bungie killed them with nerfs, Hunters flood into this forum to try and turn the sap story onto them. "Oh no my *super or exotic* isn't powerful enough!" or some such thing.
Except Hunters are the most powerful and versatile characters in the game.

Hunters, nobody feels sorry for you except you. You have the most ridiculous pvp supers (BB and Spectral Blades). Your infinite load golden gun is terrifying. The guy who soloed Riven did so with arc staff.
Nobody cares if your shadowshot is a little too slow for pvp. Nobody. Why does nobody care? BECAUSE YOUR CLASS CNA SOLO MELEE A RAID BOSS TO DEATH.

The point of the post wasn't to show that other classes can't do these things (except the Liar's handshake stuff), simply to show that hunters can so there's no way they're limited in power and don't need buffs.

They may not be able to solo riven or punch other raid bosses to death. But I feel like they have some of the strongest supers for pve The only things that you mentioned that only hunters can do is solo punch raid bosses to death. Everything else all other classes can do

(Minus gambit, which is designed for golden gun invaders) - Use astrocyte verse/transversive with a tractor cannon and 10 mobility and youll be laughing at hunters.

Any other class can and have done everything you just said, with the only exception of riven. You're cherry picking. I can take clips of warlocks or a titan soloing everything in the game, but that doesn't quite mean either of those are broken.

Holy shit the whole whining about hunters thing is getting so old and boring. Literally every week the same post is made like this one. I see more people complaining about hunters complaining than I actually see hunters complaining. Im no hunter apologist. I don’t main the class. I don’t think it is under or overpowered any moreso than warlocks or titans. But hunters have this stigma of being the whiney class when in reality all classes complain about things and people are just biased against hunters for no reason.

Yes, are warlocks and titans also? Definitely. Should we be asking for buffs to gear that sits untouched? I think so, weapons of light coming back is great, nightstalkers tether going off faster is great, hope nova warp gets some pve love

all of this and you somehow forgot to mention the most broken super in pvp... middle tree arc is an unkillable roaming super that counters shut down supers and then continues to wipe the team

1 ReplyIf you think Goldie and BB are high tier PvP supers, you're just wrong. They're both countered by good usage of cover and movement. Neither is usable against top tier players. Spectral is popular, and I won't deny that, but it's certainly not overpowered. Soloing shattered throne isn't a hunter only thing. Soloing zero hour and whisper aren't either (the speedrun strat is mainly warlocks, if anything). Soloing Riven isn't as much of a hunter thing as it is a one-two punch thing, but I'll give you credit that it can only be done on a Hunter. I can't say much on solo Kalli, as I haven't seen much on that, but it seems like it's can be done on other classes. One-two punch is to blame here. No super in the game is quite as bad as tether is in crucible, especially quiver. The melee hunter supers suffer from the same thing every melee super other than striker; missing. Running arcstrider is one of the most infuriating things, when the game takes 2, maybe 3 swipes to actually register a hit. I don't use spectral, but I've heard similar suffering from my buddies.
