Titan supers have no dps in pvp

I main a titan and within the last month or so I’ve been going for the pvp pinnacle weapons and have come to notice that I can almost can never counter a hunter or warlock super. So I wanted to test this out I hopped on my hunter and would save spectral blades or arc staff until a titan popped its roaming super. Needless to say I countered them every time . Playing pvp on a warlock or a hunter just feels easy, playing on a titan feels like I’m fighting to survive every second of the match. Now I don’t want to give up on my titan I’ve played him since dark below d1 and have been a titan main since. However I can’t even compete against hunters and warlocks. But it’s not only in supers there abilities in there stale game are just built for survival it’s like you are meant to have an advantage. Basically what I’m saying is that by the time I go to get my second hit off on a hunter or warlock in my super they have already killed me with their super because they attack so much faster and are so much harder to stop. If we could get this statement popular I’d like to see what dmg or bungie has to say about it and what their thoughts are on it thank you and sorry for the misspelling and bad grammar!

  • I think in PvP titans are fairly good. Bottom tree striker is broken and the most powerful roaming super. Hammers have always been decent and Sentinel Shield is great for throwing even if hit detection needs a work. Hammers can shutdown most roaming supers if played correctly and Missile s great for shutting down too. I do think titans needs a DPS super for PvE though so maybe Missile could get a damage buff there and I’d like Bubble to be a better ‘team buffing’ super too.

Sounds like A. An issue most of us can repeat no matter our main. B. Your chosen class vs your play-style. Hunters are easy to use. That is why they are popular. Titans and warlocks take more skill to utilize their perks. Titans are high risk high reward type builds because their archetypes are designed to be the front line. Warlocks are designed to be the back of the line. The hunters are designed to be the scout. Know what it is like to die instantly because a Titan wants to shoulder charge but either hits close enough, or due to this p2p, die before they even make contact? Shoulder charge can still kill even if said player gets melted by a fusion rifle.. so? The giant hammer slam that travels over 20 feet and tracks enemies? Shields that only have to ricochet to get free kills? I “get” your point.. but the issue you are complaining about has to do with skill level. NO!! I am not challenging YOUR skill level... But there is awareness, movement, and baiting that can be done to improve your use of the supers. It is not a free kill perk of the game. Yes, some have better damage resistance.., and if you let in a skilled player into a jumbled mess of a team... they are going to have success while being harder to kill.. but that is more on the team. It sucks getting shut down. I run top tree Goldie.. I assure you I know about glass houses.. I know that long lanes can mean certain death if I peak. I know popping my super in the middle of an enemy team, that I could be dead faster than I can get a shot off. All of that is skill. You have to admit that you have seen skilled players on every class just destroy and survive their supers. There is no “weaker class”... just weaker players who are probably playing on a class that they truly are not trying to master and most likely not caring about any synergy that can be built.

    • Why are we worried about super dps in pvp? They mostly one shot people

    • The best counter super for titans is probably bottom tree hammers. It’s very slept on outside of Titan mains. It’s perk sets work the best for ground based roaming super destruction. The super lasts longer than top tree if used properly, heals on kill, hammers deal more direct damage than top tree, throws more hammers generally, and absolutely melts supers. I’ve killed so many supers from spectral blades, strikers, arc staff (not middle tree) To harder to kill supers, like sentinels, even middle tree. Dawnblades is an aerial super, so it’s a much harder to kill them. The ground based supers run around on the ground receiving tick damage from the sunspots and don’t assume it’s much damage. Sunspots hit like trucks even in supers.

    • I disagree, bottom tree Hammers seems to destroy most other supers and let really long + healing

      • You feel like you can’t compete with a titan... try OEM and bottom tree FoH. Problem solved.

        • Bottom tree striker is bad against supers but can kill like 8+ normal people per super if you get lucky with spawns, just spam the shoulder charge attack. Top sentinel has spotty hit registration but it is good against supers and the shield throw is insane and

        • Really? As a Warlock main I feel like I have to go nuts trying to survive. We do have some great perks and supers but we are not agile people. Against a Titan that can Shoulder Charge after flying at you from across the map (metaphorically speaking) or a Hunter that can Dodge this and double jump that way I feel like I have the agility of a zepplin. I switch over to Titan for a little while and I am just zippin from one area to the next, taking out playerseft and right and Thubdercrunchin other supers.

          • That's absolutely nuts to say that. Titans and hunters are the two best for supers. Warlocks are shit in PvP and I main warlock. But I switched to titan and annihilated people with supers between throwing a shield or bottom striker tree or burning maul it's asinine to say titans don't have good supers in PvP.

          • HAHAHAHAHAHAH, no. Titans probably have the best roaming supers in the game. Sentinel, bottom tree striker, and top tree hammers have the most over-shields and best ranged attacks of any super in the game. The only supers that could one shot another super are blade barrage and nova bomb, but that’s because they are “one-shot supers” that are designed to do crazy damage one time and one time only. When a skilled titan gets their roaming super they dominate the entire map in a way that a storm caller or a gun slinger can’t.
