Bergusia Forge AFK
Did I miss a memo?
Is there some sort of cheese I don’t know about?
Is being an ārsehole a new achievement?
Started up a Bergusia Forge, got 2 randies, both were nowhere near an appropriate light level for the event.
Then, once the enemies spawned in they did nothing. Literally nothing. Didn’t move, didn’t shoot, didn’t revive themselves.
Reported them both for inactivity.
Checked their game histories.
They had DOZENS of forges where they did literally nothing.
Even weirder, they were playing with ransoms who ALSO did nothing.
I checked account after account after account of all these unrelated, under leveled players being AFK in forges, specifically the Bergusia one.
The fück is going on?

3 RepliesThey are AFK farming for dark dust to buy trophies in the hall of triumphs. They are doing it like wrong though. They should put on green items to take down their light so they aren’t being matched with active players.

You morons realize this has been going on since Forges were added right? Those guys dropped their light so they could farm resources, the system should have put them in matchmaking with other low level players. If you get matched with them then your light is low or you have bad luck.

They ruined lots of things of late. The new quests to lower the value spent on tributes have people leaving strikes, crucible, gambit during the matches because they only wanted that. They obviously should have required "x" amount of event completed. Also just remove rewards for failing forges.

They are failing the forge on porpose for planetary materials. Failing a forge nets a few materials. They go in lowest light possible so they die quick. If the forge fails quickly they are ahead of the afk timer booting them out. It's a -blam!- move doing that in Bergusia tho. Do that in Volunder or Gofannen. Bergusia is the Forge people go to do the weapons. If someone were to do this go Volunder. Almost no one goes there. Don't screw over other players.

AFK farming is built around the fact that the event finishes before they get kicked for inactivity. If you extend the timer for a few minutes, they will get booted, and come back to their machine hours later, hopefully having only AFK farmed a few and are stuck in orbit.

5 RepliesFarming materials! Content creators are promoting this! Essentially lowering your light level to help reduce the risk of being match made with people, go AFK for hours and prof from a shit ton of mats. By going AFK, the forge should only last a short time, but not long enough to get kicked back to orbit. Want to piss them off? Keep the game going long enough for them to get booted to orbit. When they get home or wake up, mission = failed.

1 ReplyI had the same thing happen to me, it's tough to solo the forge because the exploding shanks that are usually spread out all agro on the only remaining guardian. It gets interesting in a hurry

Friendly reminder for all aspiring afk farmers. If you lower your light with eververse gear, you can matchmake exclusively with other farmers, which means you can not only save people actually playing headaches, but you can finish forges faster since nobody is keeping the event going.
