Bloom is a serious problem that’s been around since D1, it’s unnecessary and adds RNG to gunfights. The Luna’s and NF nerf wouldn’t even be necessary if bloom were removed, just look at pc Luna’s howl and NF aren’t even a problem. The reason they’re so dominant on console is because ALL 180’s have minimal bloom and minimal recoil, and if u use something like AoS over Luna’s ur hand capping yourself. 180’s will still be the most dominant and not used HC’s on console after the nerf. this nerf isn’t going to change anything, we r going to be seeing a lot of service revolvers soon. Furthermore fix TLW’s ads recoil as well, ads’ing it’s unusable on console. Didn’t Bungie say they were looking n to that and then we haven’t heard anything since last December. And this Luna’s nerf is just one example of Bungie adopting a mindset of nerfing rather than fixing glaring issues that will actually change the meta. The couple of seasons we’ve seen lots of harsh harsh nerfs like nova warp and even just pve nerfs like trench barrel, rapid fire frame shotguns, wardcliff coil, shards of galanor, heavy machine guns, etc. which reminds me why tf r pve nerfs a thing?!?!? No one asks for them Bungie just thinks their way to play is the right y to play, and they’re forcing a certain play style on us. Pvp nerfs are understandable but almost all pve nerfs are completely unnecessary and uncalled for and disliked. Bungie time to get ur act together, u guys said months ago that u were trying to less nerfs. Seems to me u guys have been giving nerfs left and right, more than ever before. I don’t like this approach, and I believe many others don’t appreciate it as well, it’s time to listen to ur playerbase, instead of just blowing us off and doing whatever the heck u feel like *cough cough enhancement cores cough cough* get it together bungo
Edit: to clarify I’m not specifically saying to not nerf LH and NF Im just pointing out Bungie’s tendency to nerf things without giving thought to other ways to fix the problem

2 RepliesI'm just worried handcannons will become too dominant once they get fixed. Really, if you can land your shots, handcannons end up being the best all around weapon type in the game. They have to land the least bullets to deal maximum damage so even if you miss a round you still did most of their health. They are really the only accurate in air weapon and since body shots still do a chunk of damage, they are incredibly viable at melee ranges. Their base range is already higher than it was in d1 and some of them can be extended with rangefinder to where they can shoot at or further than ace of spades can. Their team fire potential is among the highest in the game as a group of 4 using luna's can kill you in less than half a second with a trigger pull from all 4 of them. With 140s, it's just 3 headshots one from each person to kill at range which is very to achieve. Once you get the recoil down, most handcannons are pretty easy to use successfully because of their above bonuses. Once they remove bloom, handcannons will easily dominate crucible until they either get nerfed or until everything else is buffed to reach their supreme power, which is almost impossible for everything but pulse rifles. As a person who's mained handcannons before bloom was a thing and afterwards, using handcannons in d2 year 1 the whole time, and consistently doing well with any handcannon I pick up...it won't be pretty for diversity once it's gone. The maps are already consistently filled with pulse rifles and handcannons regardless of the type. I'm not looking forward to what happens once bloom is gone.

1 ReplyYeah, I don't get it. It makes no sense to just give a ton of bloom to consoles (and if you use a controller on PC). I switched to using a controller on PC for a bit and man, most guns are completely useless once you do. SMGs, non-180 handcannons, assault rifles. Why make it even harder for people using controllers? Mouse is already easy to use, why should controller users suffer?

3 RepliesEdited by GalaxySpider: 4/30/2019 2:55:30 AMBloom was never introduced to be a skill gap. It is a balancing feature, otherwise HCs would dominate over nearly every other primary type weapon, with the PC version being a great example. Still, blooming sucks though. I wish they would find a solution.

3 RepliesTLW is meant to be fired from the hip. Sorry that hasn't clicked for you yet.

16 RepliesY r u ads’ing with TLW it’s a hip fire hand cannon
-
16 RepliesTLW doesn’t need ADS fixing. Its a hip-fire gun thats literally disgusting in the right hands. Before I switched to PC I used TLW and Trust for a few days in comp. Easiest Lunas Howl ever obtained. I used Crimson for headshots. TLW is literally a shotgun counter as well once you master the hip-fire. But as far as bloom, flinch, and random recoil patterns on any hand cannon below 180 RPM, yes they need to be fixed. Nerfing LH/NF just makes the issue worse in the long run. People complain and say those weapons were broken on console but they weren’t. Next complaints will be about Service Revolver. I will surprised if not. Address the real issues and stop taking the easy route to please complainers.

1 ReplyBloom shouldn't exist in any video game
-
yes we need better faster killing Handcannons cause the ones we currently have cannot compete against anything
-
I was doing random loadout rumble with my clan last night in private matches and my random loadout included a Better Devils... The amount of times i pulled the trigger on someones head just for it to do nothing was actually laughable and it's absolutely no surprise that people spam 180's. Why wouldn't they. 140's, 150's and 110's are basically PvRNG.

Edited by ALBOBOSS: 4/30/2019 10:03:19 PMFixing bloom will be more than sufficient for last word. If they fix the stability, the crys to nerf it will inevitably come and Bungie will cave.

-
They need to make bloom almost unnoticable when in ads, hip firing can stay as is. For the TLW, yeah, ads recoil need some attention on console. Even though its a hipfire gun it needs proper tuning where necessary.
-
The problem is the extra recoil, flinch, bloom and reduced stability across the board that controller users are faced with..
-
Remember that due to recoil and bloom, ttk values are false on controller because you literally cant achieve that ttk due to having to time shot rhythm. On mouse of course it's just click click click, all perfevt. As a pc controller player it is horrible to be gimped twice. Once by my choice to use controller, once by Bungie for no reason anyone can determine.

1 ReplyOne of the top ranking posts for several days now and no reply from Bungie. Please weigh in on this, it matters. You replied to the post about elim and rift which at time of writing has less hits than this thread. We quite literally have less of a game on console due to bloom and the amount of recoil.
-
2 RepliesLet's not pretend that by lowering recoil and bloom 0.8 ttk hc can compete with 0.67 ttk. Ace is a beast due to its range + high cal + memento mori. Other HC are average at best and stand nowhere near Luna/NF. Personally, I don't like a TTK that goes closer to 0.5, 0.75 is the ideal imo, otherwise it starts to get too close to CoD which I don't personally enjoy. Additionally, people cannot forget that aiming with mouse and keyboard is completely different from aiming with a controller.

Seeing as how I obtained Lunas with Trust....Id say it was ok...

3 RepliesFor some unexplainable, selfish reason, i want my gun to shoot where i point and not have ghost bullets

“Bloom is a serious problem that’s been around since Halo: Reach” There. I fixed it for you. Bungle has been fouling up the RNG of bullets since 2010.....

7 RepliesSomeone please tell me what current Hand cannons are 150 rpm
-
What they're doing is a quick bandaid move, they really should be fixing the route of the problem instead.
