You had a 93% drop off in Trials participation. Comp usually has between a 3-5% participation rate. The forums have been on fire with people complaining about how bad even QP is getting with the sweats. Most of your player base didn't want sweatier.
We also threw so much of a fit over timers that you took them off, and here we are again.
How are you so far out of touch with your customer base? You're listening to the wrong people, and it's about to become painfully evident. I hope you don't realize too late that putting your faith in "the best and brightest" and ignoring the real player base was the wrong move.

How are you so far out of touch with your customer base?
Because Bungie wants to believe that Destiny is a shooter game...when its actually a loot game. Loot games and competitive pvp are like oil-and-water...and Bungie stubbornly refuses to accept that they'll never get anything better than **salad dressing** trying to mix the two. So they keep doing the same things over and over again, and expecting a different outcome each time. Because they can't let go of their "Halo Legacy". Keeping a death grip on the past is a good way to strangle the Present.

I think it’s funny that there are people defending it, as if we haven’t seen the numbers. People don’t want to play gambit, adding a sweatier version of it isn’t catering to anyone bcs no one wants it.
-
It didn't, it was just the best of a bunch of bad ideas.
-
3 RepliesSince the new gambit coming out is 1 round that's gonna be easier on me when I'm throwing matches
-
3 RepliesThey fixed up Gambit real decent and gave a new endgame activity. Be happy man

94 RepliesWhat do you all WANT!? You don't want a competitive mode. It's too sweaty. People in crucible are just too sweaty. Gambit sucks because people are sweaty. Is it really that wrong for people to be good at something? Is it grinding your gears that much because the team you're facing is better than you? So you result in calling them sweaty and condemning them? Do you lot really just want the whole game be easy mode? Like...I don't know....d2 vanilla? Stop it and make up your damn minds. There are people out there not on these forums mostly that simply enjoy the game, and are just good at the modes. Most of us don't care if you don't like it, we're gonna continue to play and try to win. If you're so pissy because the mode is too hard, too competitive, or the people you play are too much for you to handle then either don't play or simply improve your gun game. You lot just are ridiculous. You're either a salty casual or a disgruntled confused player. MAKE UP YOUR DAMNED MINDS. IM TIRED OF SEEING THIS SHIT.

4 RepliesBecause it's called season of the drifter, not season of the snowflake.

1 ReplyEdited by DeathPony07: 3/2/2019 11:33:11 PMBungie only caters to elitists, Youtubers, no-lifers, and neckbeards. Which is why the vast majority of the player base left, and why Forsaken didn't sell. Does anyone actually play Gambit? What percentage of the community hates their life so much that they play Gambit regularly? Get rid of it and give us a new story campaign on par with TTK. Community for the last 5 years: "We want PvP and PvE completely separated." Bungie: "DUUUURRRR!" "Here's Gambit, and more quests that require PvP." "Enjoy your PvP cancer."

You mean supremacy? Because I see no difference.

29 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 3/1/2019 6:43:29 AMAccording to the ViDoc It's what the gamer base 'asked for' Anyone ❓❔ (Nope, me neither!) Who, I've no idea...🤔 Probably some 'summit streamer' prat via Twitch/Twitter Nobody has asked for 'Gambit Sweaty' mode
-
It moves the sweaty people out of regular gambit because that new perks don’t work. Think

Edited by CIKiller: 3/2/2019 6:10:35 PM(Insert Benson scream here) If you ask me, Bungie should do whatever the f*** they want if it means ungrateful s***s like you get pissed off.

15 RepliesWanna know why that trials drop off rate was so high? Because virtually no-one played trials.

I mean, if the loot is there and the armour actually helps the roll you choose, it'll be an interesting game mode at that. It'll be a gamemode to test the limits of teamwork with your own fireteam or the randoms you join up with. I could actually see it being a much more strategic gamemode over anything else because of how the rolls in the team will be played. And it'll be a gamemode for you to find what you feel comfortable using for the roll your in. It won't just be this hop-in-with the-meta-and-expect-to-win kind of idea, you've actually got to strategize a little more and work with what you've got cause everyone is going to be comfortable using something different in their roll. So until the gamemode comes out, you can't really talk it down negatively because you've got no base for your negativity. Yes, sure, they made it sound like it's what the community wanted when it wasn't really put out there. But that doesn't mean it going to suck as a gamemode. Also, the timer was added to the Reckoning, not Gambit Prime. And that's the whole point of the Reckoning, it's supposed to be this fast past gamemode that pushes your pve and teamwork skills to the limit to achieve that end goal. Just my two cents on the topic. I know I'll probably get some negative remark but whatever. I just play the game for what it is and try to have fun. (Even if it's hard to find a reason to get on some days)

3 RepliesI have a feeling this new Gambit Mode will be even worse than the regular one? Who asked for sweatier Gambit mode??? WTF
-
Bungie Thanks for not listening to the 10's of 1000's of posts asking Devs to fix 'enhancement cores, lag, broken subclass/weapons/armour, game crashes, poor matchmaking, removing timers, game mechanics broken (mote detection, PvP hit detection) etc etc' Instead you start up a Gambit thread and then after sifting through the comments - you pick up on the minute % that wanted some type of raid mechanics & your Devs jump all over 'sweaty mode' And thought 'oh that's what the 'community' want! A cynical sceptic might go down the conspiracy road & think that those asking for this 'sweaty gambit (your Devs words) were 'plants' and pushing an idea that the mass majority never asked for at all!

For those who play solo, RIP. 4 stacks will have a huge advantage.
-
Maybe they can take quitter penalty away from the regular gambit now?
-
22 RepliesEdited by PJ5: 2/28/2019 8:30:24 PMWhen I watched the video explaining gambit prime all I needed to hear was sweatier matches and steal your banked motes and I knew I wouldn’t be playing it. Then there is a forge clone with hordes of enemies but nothing to throw and Bungie says this is better than the armory dlc. They said they listened to the core community, I never saw any threads asking for this did any of you??
-
4 RepliesBecause Bungie is catering this game to elitist neckbeards, and that's it. They don't give a -blam!- about normal players. Which is why nobody plays their -blam!-ing game.
-
8 RepliesProbably because of all the Battle Royale* (PvP) obsessed people nowadays they felt like they need a whole season more or less centered around PvP, while avoiding the BR aspect. *(Read: BATTLE R OMEGALUL YALE) Borderlands 3 can't come soon enough.

2 RepliesDisagree all you want...this is what causes the final mass exodus of Destiny players. It...is....hot....garbage.

Edited by MindfulPizza: 3/1/2019 2:05:57 PMthey got keep there few % that are still on dial speeds happy . and f up the rest of us now .

Edited by JazzyPaladin477: 3/2/2019 2:15:23 AMAgreed. I love gambit as it is now even with all its problems. Not exited for a sweatier version. It sounds awful.
