Dear Bungie, I have a job and family.
I don't have time to stream for 19 hours straight just to unlock content I have already paid for.
Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to create such mind numbing puzzles and also create this quest without a waypoint/checkpoint?
We are all at the mercy of watching streamers on Youtube and twitch in the hope that they can solve your cryptic puzzles.
What about the solo players? there is no way at all we can contribute to solving this at all, not a single way, apart from hoping on to one of the said streamers channels and contributing via the chat (I had to sub to one of them to enter the chat channel).
I am up for solving puzzles I even think it is a good way to unlock new content, but not like this, this is just wrong on so many levels.
You have just put a huge focus on your precious streamers and a kind of a screw you to the rest of the player base, Kind of like.... When our streamers have cracked the code and you have finished watching them you can play your new DLC.
As a 1000+ hour player of D1 I am loosing interest in Destiny 2 very fast and with stupid stunts like this I am getting more frustrated, with Anthem just around the corner you need to be pulling out all the stops to keep your player base entertained not loose them through content droughts and boredom.
Sorry guys, just venting my frustration.

5 RepliesReally as simple as that - Do not Play or Buy future content. It is a product and the moment you dont pay thats the only way for these goons to realize what they have done. I had originally bought Destiny 1 in hopes of a never ending universe lasting for 10 years. THAT was the premise on the box of the Destiny special edition PS3 I had bought back in 2014 !!! Little did I know ....

1 ReplyThey don't care. Iron Banner happening during xmas break is another example of that. People travel during the holidays, so why put an important event in that specific week? They should have moved or extended that for two weeks.

Divorce wife; quit job. Problem solved.
-
3 RepliesIm really looking forward to anthem. Matchmaking for everything.
-
12 RepliesBungie doesnt care about anyone except themselfs, hardcore no lifers and steamers. I thought this niomi labs thing was an event? Doesnt look like one to me. Again bungie locking out 90+% of thier player base just like week one of black armoury. We all paid for this content so we expect to be able to play it without restriction
-
6 RepliesAnd yet you had time to type all this out when you could have been spending time with your so called “family” or been more productive at work
-
3 RepliesBeen playing since year 1 and I keep finding myself buying the extensions. Well this is definetly the last one. Im grinding enough with family and job. Im definitely moving on to Division 2 when it drops. Its getting dumber and dumber with all the puzzle shit
-
1 ReplyI agree....why does everything need to be so damn competitive. Its like all the care about is keeping the streamers happy. 1% of the player base shouldn't dictate content and when said content can be used or unlocked. They made the Niobe puzzle for the 1% gamer.... Maybe we should all just delete the game and see how well Bungie enjoys a player base of a few hundred streamers as opposed to 100s of thousands of us.

You guys are gonna be REALLY SALTY when D3 gets announced and it's an mmorpg like WoW or Neverwinter but shooter style. Can't wait for that shit. Don't have the gear or time for end game? Tough shit!
-
12 RepliesPeople that watch streamers amaze me. Do people really have such boring lives they will watch other people play a video game lmao.
-
You main a hunter that’s your problem. Real man run titans. lul :0
-
11 RepliesAnother pathetic rant. Dude there are other games you can invest your time maybe better then. Why should a game cater just for you. Everybody has a life and responsibilities. If you can’t keep up that’s not the games fault. You have a life which is good. The game doesn’t have to acknowledge that.

3 RepliesI agree with you 100%. I work 12 hour shifts every weekend. Sometimes 4 days in a row. And when I'm off I spend time with my son and fiance. I'm also going to school during the week. I barely have time to get on anymore. And everything that goes on usually goes on on weekends or times when I can't get to it and when I finally do I have maybe a few hours to grind in hopes that I get SOMETHING. I loved D1, taken king is my favorite expansion. But D2 makes me want to slam my head into a wall because I'm not able to join events or have fun because everything goes so quickly or you have to grind for DAYS to even get remotely close to the content you want. I barely have time in the day for myself let alone a game. I want to play, so badly. I sit at work on my down time and read the forums and look at what I'm missing out on on that weekend because I work. Its absolutely frustrating when you want to like a game and you want to play it but it doesn't seem to take their players into consideration. Just look at the fact that they held Iron Banana during Christmas when most people are travelling, spending time with family, or (like me) working.

2 RepliesEdited by CatMan: 1/10/2019 11:40:30 AMBungie none of us want this franchise to die, we just want you to care about ALL players who support you, not just streamers.
-
If you have a job and family like me and a good portion of the player base, your role in this puzzle was supposed to be to watch your content creators and support them. I'm all for Bungie trying new things, but this wasn't the way to go. The idea of everyone helping the people who have the time to dedicate to such a ridiculous puzzle is pretty cool I think. But the execution meant that I just had to wait to play the new content like you. I couldn't contribute to the puzzle solving without spending hours catching up to what had already been figured out
-
i mean ppl wanted to have more secrets and complex things. they did what ppl wanted. and BA and the pass in general is for endgame players, not ppl that play it every once in a while.
-
I heard a lot of whining

Someone revive GamePro Magazine..

Your right, they forget solo players pay the money as well, this game has got worse, people going mad over guns that we had in d1,they will be at it again when the last word comes out.how long will it be before they bring something else back like thorn, games a joke,I think all solo players should leave and play fortnite.even anthem you can play solo.bungie will learn when we all leave.
-
1 ReplyLol I’m playing effing Skyrim again and it’s better than D2
-
Then don’t play. Or just watch the youtubers. Would you rather have it be a 10 minute puzzle any idiot could come up with. This way you can have what you want and have someone solve it for you and hardcore players get what they want which is hours of content.
-
Wait.... All the shit that goes on with this game... And this is what gets to you? 🤔
-
11 RepliesEdited by CaptainMericah: 1/9/2019 8:46:51 PMYour schedule is not Bungie’s problem. Play the game as you have time for it and stop the incessant bitching, please.

I has around 1300 hours into D1. I made it as far as Warmind and that was it. I didn't even bother to finish the campaign. I've been hearing good things about Forsaken. So a few weeks ago I thought maybe I'll play through the rest of Warmind and then pick up Forsaken. Well a short amount of time experiencing some of the upgrade changes I realized why I had quit in the first place.
