I was so excited to hear that there's a matchmaking horde mode. Finally no going to third party LFG site to do this mode unlike escalation or blinding well. But I got so frustrated. It's so hard for no reason. I can't finish the quest in my directory because it's to high light for now. First wave is 615, second wave is 625 and by that calculation third wave may be 635 or higher. This means to be able to finish the first forge for the FIRST TIME I need to grind. I have no acces to any black armory weapons or armor. Well so far I know haven't seen any armor piece drop. But if I have to go by how escalation works its also connected to the forge. The new vendor is totally useless for me for a few weeks. I'm glad I have a lot of free time but I have so much pity for people with jobs and families or players who aren't 600L yet. You need to hardcore grind just to finish the initial quest line. This is so stupid and a big bummer.
Could've made the first forge easy like 600L max for the story mission and afterwards it could be higher. Or put in offerings to up the light for chance of better gear but still start at 600L and move up from there. I don't mind grinding for end content but this is ridiculous. A wall like this is expected after the main story like it has always been. Do the main missions of Forsaken, hit 500L and hit a wall. You had your fun experiencing the new content now start grinding. Not when I finally get to the new content and I already have to grind to complete it.
I'm not complaining about how little content there is. I knew it wouldn't be much. But this is just something else entirely.
I can go on and on as of why this is bad practice. I will get there eventually but it sure as hell won't be fun knowing I paid my hard earned cash for this but can only start enjoying it after a few weeks. Bad move Bungie. Really bad.

2 RepliesI dont like EP and Blindwell I find horde modes boring what other endgame content is there in BA?? Thier Forsaken live stream said they would be expanding the universes endgame with patrols, adventures, loot, new activity and raids so where is the new patrol zone? adventures? and loot? Your not telling me that the 1 set of armour and handful of guns this DLC added are all behind the boring horde mode are you!!! no wonder Bungie refuses to give actual details of what is coming with each DLC....

You literally go talk to 2 people, watch a cut scene, receive a quest, and you've already hit the expansion's end game.

10 RepliesDestiny is becoming a game only players who log on literally every day can enjoy. For the rest of us who work late or have lives, well... sorry suckers. Thanks for your money, we’ll see you in a couple months when all this gear is irrelevant.
-
4 RepliesJust play Warframe. It’s better and it’s free.
-
8 RepliesPlayed for roughly six hours last night. Went up 1 light level, cumulatively, on one character. Can’t wait to grind for another month for the chance to play the content that came out two days ago.

I tried the EDZ forge for the first time last night. My team mates at I were around 602 light score and completed the forge after 5 tries (mainly working out positioning and tactics). What really sux is getting 5+ powerful engram helmet drops >_< Talk about lame RNG.

Not at all my friend. Not at all.

7 Replies"Why do you even stay on these forums?" Hahaha for these moments. When you fanboys who so ridiculously defended the game get hit in the face with reality. But continue to throw money at the screen lol

3 RepliesI have a career and two young children. I got to 600 about two weeks ago. Yesterday I got my hunter to 607.
-
5 RepliesI cleared the Forge the first time when I was 606 light. It took me about 3 hours of playing to get there after the reset. It's really not that bad. As for people below 600.. the Forge will still be there when you hit 600. It's going to be the same then as it is now. Whether you like it or not is a different story, but just because you can't do it RIGHT NOW doesn't actually effect the quality of the content.

2 weeks later* "Black armoury's horde mode is too easy. I thought we were supposed to get challenging content." Mark my words.

Yup couldn’t agree more with you, black armory? More like black plague!!!

21 RepliesWe have gotten one piece of , like, 15. Just wait a couple weeks till more stuff is out, or even better, just wait two months till everything is out. THEN you can pass judgment

1 ReplyMore like lack armory. Am i right or am i right? I am right

Edited by CannyJack: 12/5/2018 2:04:53 PMI was surprised the initial quest didn't end with a simple machine gun and a ~600PL final mission, basically a "Here's how the forges work" thing. Get some closure on the quest, get a small reward, give us the first taste free so we're jonesing for more. Instead, we talk with a new vendor once or twice, and then it's Go Do Escalation Protocol, uh, I mean Forge! Perhaps just a little more story / mission flow / something on the first day or two would be nice. I understand that Bungie is playing semantic games with the concept of "DLC," but they promised nothing and managed to underdeliver. First impressions are important, and for me, it's back to the "maybe I'll get an exotic from my milestones" grind.

Yeah, this expansion's gonna be rough on me. With school and work being in the way, getting my two highest characters, which aren't even 540 yet, to the point of being able to do the Volundr Forge is gonna take me till the Crimson Days event rolls back around. I'm usually all for high power, more grindy content, but this is a bit ridiculous.
