Or in other words - "I dont think children should be taught how to be accepting and considerate".
Because no children ever grow up and form their own worldviews do they?
At the end of the day, this is about identity, not biology, and identity is what it is. If their personas are "made up" then by logical extension, so is yours.
English
-
No, you'er twisting my words. I'm talking about truth, facts. Not to be intolerant.
-
No, you're failing to differentiate between biology and identity.
-
You'er still trying to twist what I said to suit your argument.
-
Ok, why dont you present some facts then?
-
The fact that everyone is born as ether male or female. ♀️♂️ 🚺🚹 🔻🔺️
-
Yes, you described peoples Sex. Well done you. Shame we're talking about Gender, not Sex.
-
And gender is sex, as is sex is gender. You'er talking about how people identify themselves. That's not gender, that's identity.
-
Get yourself a dictionary. Its absolutely you who has it twisted round. Come back to me when you understand the actual definitions of the words you are using.
-
Why do all of the definitions that I find say that it is usually in reference to sociological roles? According to you, it should be always, right?
-
When you are discussing the seperate aspects, yes.
-
So why does it say usually?
-
Because there are times where the seperate aspects arent being discussed. I would have thought that was obvious.
-
Like when?
-
Like when the sociological aspect isnt known.
-
But according to you it's always sociological?
-
It is, but you dont know what someones sociological status will be until they are old enough to process, acknowledge and express what they feel, so until that time you cant really address it can you?
-
If they don't know their role then would you still use gender to describe them?
-
Thats the murky grey area thats still being figured out in all of this. They know what they feel better than I do.
-
But "gender is their societal role." They live in a society, so what is their role? Male or female?
-
Or something in between? Thats whats still being established. For now, whatever floats peoples boat so to speak. I'd rather someone was content and productive as opposed to necking themselves. As for what children might make of it? If asked, I'd explain it to my kids basically just like I have here. Its something the adults are figuring out, lets try to be nice etc etc.
