Why is the user face so slow. Have the time my character isn’t even preloaded and takes ages to see my guns, I have the newest Xbox so I know it’s not that.

You remember how there was an invisible sprint cool down in destiny 1 that would make you unable to sprint for brief period after sprinting for a while? It was a feature. They refused to even admit it was there for like two years until the rise of iron came out. The slow menu is not that way because it has to be, it's that way as a specific feature designed to prevent people from quickly changing their load out, same with why you can't use the app to change equipment when you're loaded into combat areas but can when you're in the tower. To keep you from changing your loadout while you're in game without having to go into menu and doing it slowly one item at a time. The menu is this way d e l i b e r a t e l y. Edit to add. I am amazed Bungie never got sued over that invisible cool down, I know people who bought like three and four controllers over the course of that game because they thought their controller was broken because it wasn't accepting their sprint input. The fact it was that way by design and bungie refused to admit it and just let people keep buying controllers rather than admit they had an invisible sprint cooldown is staggering and possibly illegal if they knew it was happening.
