The beta is noticeably team oriented. Teamfiring melts people and you're measure by KDA. This is an interesting change, but what ironic is that they took away our support subclasses.
Night stalker isn't here, sun singer is now a roaming super. Not even a song of flame option, and defender is just a single type of bubble. No customizing for weapons or armor, etc. it's a roaming super first and support second.
I think I can safely say everyone wanted new classes, but we didn't want the old ones completely refurbished into something else either

11 RepliesI guess you missed the part where warlocks got rifts, titans got shields, & chain of woe effects the entire team. On top of that, these abilities can be used much more frequently than any D1 super.

1 ReplyEdited by Astral Centipede: 7/22/2017 6:38:13 AMWe can't say for sure if Nightstalker or any of The Taken King subclasses will return or not, or if they will be replaced with something else. As of right now, you can't rule them out. There are support options. Chain of Woe on Gunslinger effect nearby allies, Sentinel titans can still use Ward of Dawn bubbles as you pointed out, warlocks can now set rifts to heal or damage boost the team (so weapons of light and blessing of light are essentially still there), and all titans can set protective barricades. EDIT: On top of all that, there's also Gunslinger attunement that allows you to make orbs for your team by landing precision hits. So far, it looks like Destiny 2 will have some robust support options.
