(Im curious if d2 will have a higher tickrate than just 10; its 2017 bungie..)
D1 had a tickrate of 30 for everything except for score calculation and ammo timers.

 • I have no source but ive read that destinys tickrate us about 10 quite often. It also feels this way tbh. You trade so often in this game even if the lobby seems lagfree as far as destiny standards go. Even if the tickrate is 30 its still way too low. Nowadays you should have atleast 60. I remember the cs 1.6 or source where no one would even enter a server <64 tick.

What is Destiny’s network tick rate? Combat damage is sampled at 30Hz (30 times per second). We track and network how your shots land in every frame of gameplay you can see. You receive updates on systems like scoring or ammo spawn timers from an Activity Host at 10Hz (10 times per second).
30Hz is very standard in shooters.

 • Hard to believe since they also stated in that article that matchmaking prioritized connection over skill. I really do not trust bungie information. There are just way too many errors and misunderstandings. 30hz is standard?? Which shooters?? Afaik the majority is 60+
