#MakeDestinyGreatAgain ELEMENTAL PRIMARIES please!! It's the grand finale just let us have our fun.
Edit: didn't realize this post would get so popular. :P lol I would like to clarify that I have learned to adapt after playing for so many years, so even if the arc doesn't come back I'm sure I will still love that weapon. Although I would really love elemental primaries again.
EDIT: NO NEED TO ARGUE ANYMORE. Deej said on the stream that "Elemental primaries are going to affect the sandbox." We got them back guardians. <3 thank you for sharing your opinions and ideas.

3 RepliesI'd rather have a new set of perks created for each weapon. That and bonus damage against Vex. This way they'd be useful in and out of Raid. I'd take that over elemental damage any day.

Don't lose hope, Guardian.

Bungie No Because we said so, and no other reason is required for balancing our game.

5 RepliesIMHO, what they should have done, instead of doing away with elemental primaries, was give all primary weapons the very small chance of rolling a random element. Most weapons would still roll Kinetic, but every once in a while, you'd get that "AWW, YESS!!" moment that we seem to be lacking as of late. If you felt the need to, you would also have another goal to grind for (which we all know; they are so very, very fond of that) In addition, they should have left the elements on Raid primaries, but randomized those as well (basically, just remove the Kinetic chance). That way, you would still have the incentive to get them, especially if you were after a certain combo. This would serve to eliminate their main issues: keeping the weapons varied and interesting in the various activities, as well as severely toning down that elitism and "necessity" we were seeing in LFG type posts and boards because anybody would have had the chance to obtain a relevant weapon, not just those who raid frequently. Also, for those who might not have a massive collection of guns, it could prove to be incentive to use gun types and perks you might not be as familiar with, simply because it had an element relevant to the activity you wanted to do. If they wanted to, I'm sure most of us would not have minded if they also toned down the benefit from burns just a bit to make up for the prevalence of those weapons.
But, I'm just some guy. What do I know?
10 RepliesI don't think people will play the content if they don't Fatebringer is a perfectly rolled imago essentially Vision is a treads upon stars that's full auto Preydeths is basically a grasp or waltz So I mean No one is gonna play the content if they don't Why would they
-
Elementals absolutely need to come back.
-
Lmfao really hahahaha fatebringer mine as well call it imago loop v2 all that grand your basically just getting a slightly different skin

90 RepliesWhy do people insist on elemental primaries?? I don't get it. We haven't had any since year 1 and PVE is not any harder by not having them. So why, do we need them??
-
1 Reply??? The Arc burn never really helped me. It was the explosions.
-
1 ReplyAm I the only one that likes elemental primaries because I get to see these blue, red, or purple bullets come out of my gun? Ik its weird but I find it kind of cool to look at. Lol

Edited by Siptah: 3/8/2017 2:09:44 PMCompared to a special or heavy with a burn primarys always did less damage in comparison. So the fact they were ever considered a crutch is beyond me. Even with a burn active unless small arms were active they were always outclassed by special and heavy. People required having an elental primary for the sole fact it made more sense particularly for nightfalls. Its no different than everyone requesting a high impact sniper, or zhalo , dark drinker, or a k/d requirement for trials of Osiris / Iron banner. The point of the matter is , elemental primary's were never o.p to begin with, all they do is remove shield faster than kenetic primarys, and if thats a crutch? You better take on the new updated raid bosses using a hakke pulse rifle exclusively. No special no heavy.

4 RepliesEdited by chickengoujohn93: 3/8/2017 11:07:16 AMWhat did Arc Burn do in VoG? What did Arc Burn do in Crota's End? What did Arc Burn do on Patrol? What did Arc Burn do in Vanguard Tiger, ROC and Dragon Strike Playlists? What did Arc Burn do for 95% of Prison of Elders? (Round 3 Room in Skolas' Revenge and Round 4 in Urrox's Grudge) What does an Elemental Burn do when a modifier is not active in Nightfalls? People say the game is "less fun" because of there removal is a petty excuse. Only Nightfalls provide you with any real benefit providing a modifier is active. An activity that makes up a combined total of ONE hour of the average person's weekly playthrough. If only there was a reason to match Elements with the a particular race similar to Borderlands... Where flesh is weak to fire, Robots weak to Corrosion, Shields weak to Electricity and Slag increases damage. Lets say Hive are weak to Solar, Cabal weak to Arc, Fallen weak to Void and Vex weak to Arc or something like that. They aren't really that missed. If they were then the community would have caused an even bigger commotion than they actually did. If Fatebringer did come back with Arc Burn it won't make a difference. Nightfalls and Strikes are a waste of time now. This update is fan service and one last hurrah and a chance for us to reminisce one last time. The novelty will quickly fade and the moment people obtain everything they will be as good as gone.

I think It would be cool if they did something similar to what they did with the dawning. Once you reach a certain point in the book you get a quest for an exotic. In this case an exotic version of the fate bringer. (Maybe 3, each with a different damage type).
-
Is there information somewhere claiming that it will not have elemental damage? Or are we just assuming?
-
I agree with it's the last update. Just give everyone what they want and let us be OP if want to.
-
I can't wait to get my bae timepiece back
-
Yes, please! I have wanted elemental primaries back for two years now! Make it happen Bungie
-
Why do vog when no primaries will have burn all ready have imago same roll as FB dis the same as VOC the burn is what set the raid primaries apart from the rest what made them unique kinda sad really they will probably just all be trash now after so many nerfs
-
Arc doesn't matter. The original fatebringer could be used as a sniper rifle, now i can't hit anything that are more then 10 meters away with it.

4 RepliesEdited by TotalDramaGamer: 3/8/2017 3:25:24 AMTo everyone who doesn't understand the now 2 year long chain of requests. It's not a need, it's a want. The faster people figure that out is the faster they'll understand why that request will never go away. Honestly, it was just cool to have. Everyone knows nobody needs them because they're not necessary. However, that also spawns my argument (that most people have), so why the heck do we not bring them back? If they're so 'not important' I see no reason to keep them down. And only an elite would ever require them for something (which, we already have plenty of so the addition of them won't actually do anything). And if you have free will, as I hope most of you do, you can choose any gun you like when they come back. Besides, even in PvE, it's only good for shields and burns. I bet all of us are tired of seeing three (or two if you're like me) Zhalos on EVERY SINGLE arc burn mission. +1 Diverstity. So even there it would be nice to see. Again, people are fine either way. But if you ask most people, they would say it would be awesome to have back again.

6 RepliesThere will be no legendary primary weapons with elemental burns.

114 RepliesEdited by Brimstone: 3/8/2017 5:40:36 AMFirst, no. Second, bringing back Fatebringer is a punch to the face for everyone who farmed an Imago Loop. I have achieved the salt farm :D

1 ReplyI think the vex will be the gun to get from this update
-
26 RepliesI'm pretty sure arc burn isn't what made it great
