Which year was the best?
Well then I have seen much crying about every weapon and every meta, let's see which one was/is the best according to community, remember to bump after voting so other people can see this too.

More important question is that did they knew in year 1 that now is year 1? Or did they just decide after some time that "hey guys, Jesus was born 30 years ago so can we all agree that this is year 30?"...?

5 RepliesYear 1 meta was definitely not the best. Being two tapped by thorn from across the map wasn't fun and anyone who played in this meta knows it was annoying to deal with and for the most part the way to counter thorn was to use thorn yourself. The best meta was probably the pulse rifle meta after taken king. All they had to do was add fall off to pulses not destroy half the gun archetypes.

year 1 HoW Era is and was the best time to play. PvP had good metas. and people in PvE could run 2 raids and gain gear to increase light from both. now at our current time, we run 1 raid and PvP is an absolute shit fest. there is no point in doing old raids besides 2 exotic quest, 2 raid specific exotics that are absolute trash. and have been marked as the worst guns in the game. I love this game but it gets old quick. I have tons of hours that was worth it. made lots of awesome friends that I now play other games with. but honesty till D2 comes the game is dead. I'll hop on for a day when they bring in srl. but that's it.

I smell a bunch of kiddie nostalgia I remember bits and pieces from year 1. One thing I remember is SUROS being strong and everyone wanting it nerfed. Or Vex. A MAJOR bitchfest ensued around TLW and Thorn aswell. etc etc Not to mention the major bitching in general about the game as a whole being a lie

Year 1 :) Id rather have the Last Word, Thorn, Red Death, Felwinters Sniper, Final Round, than the Camping shotgun warriors era we have today.

6 RepliesI liked year 2 and 3 because I got my most sought after exotics. Such as the Thorn, Hawkmoon, Gjallarhorn, Suros Regime, and the Last Word.

Game-wise, year 3 because more pve content. Forum-wise, year 1 because people were less stupid.

1 ReplyIt may be nostalgia that I vote for Y1, but I don't care. Everything was relevant, there was reforging, raids were both challenging and fun, weapons were unique, meta felt the most balanced. If I could add anything to Y1 it would be TTK subclasses and the quest system. I want my exotic bounties though, a reason to do bounties, greatness really
