I bet that half of the people on the train were stuck somewhere, with no chance of playing the game so they read the patch notes - for their very first time - instead and now feel obligated to yell at the rest from their ivory towers. Meanwhile, both streamers and twitter adress Bungie's poor communication skills. Bungie insinuates that the patch will be fully available, with the exception of heroic raid, in the BWU and fully aware that the majority only are interested in the light levels yet they make no effort in conveying this information in a clear manner or think of putting up some disclaimers somewhere. Instead they bury the information halfway through the patch notes, to the point where even the few who actually look at patch notes had a reasonable chance of missing it. And this is just in addition to launching a patch and then delaying the key element - which in itself is against all business practices.

"doesn't update anything in the game" see the problem I have with this is that they did update SOME of it. yes, you CANNOT get over 385 stuff now, so engrams, faction packages, etc will not work, but I just went into the forge and first match? 385 ghost! I have been stuck at 385 for like a week because I could not get above a 374 ghost. and in one forge match, I am a 386. all my blues from the forge decrypted at 365. I even had one that turned into a 385 legendary. that was not happening prior to today. so yeah, listen to these arrogant pricks on here saying "read patch notes, they are clear" are wrong. DEAD WRONG. Unless patch notes clearly stated that SOME of the patch will go live at 10 AM Pacific, but some other stuff (we won't tell you what though) will go live at 2 PM Pacific" yup. clear as day!

1 ReplyI know it sucks, but patch notes are released for a reason. Not everyone reads them, but lessons are learned. There's a lot of information that I feel players should receive as in-game pops up, but it's just not like that. Please read the patch notes next time, or at least when you notice something is off, stop with one Exotic Engram or one Faction Package, don't keep going.

They won't let us lvl up in prep for HM but they'll let the lower lights breeze to 385 to make lfg a shit show when looking for an experienced group. Wack!

I'm personally having a great time sitting at the cryptarch watching everyone pop their exotic engrams! So glad I read the forum about the light level before I began popping mine!

To be honest this is a better way to go about it, now you wont be 400 before the raid drops, no reason to rush through 15 light levels anyways.
