My friends say Destiny is infinitely superior to Halo.

Halo had a neat story. Fun multilayer. Destiny has better "play" mechanics. Shooting and movement is better all around. If the story in the grimoire was a playable part of destiny, it would be better. As it is, still better than halo 4

From a pure game perspective, both are actually on par with each other as far as they are comparable. Looking at the games, I'd give the story to Halo, since it is a relatively cohesive story on its own. Destiny has improved slightly, but not nearly enough (rather, it can't). That said, Halo's story isn't even that great. More entertaining than well-written. But it really is just a matter of personal taste. I love Halo too much for such insignificant differences to actually matter.

They're probably right. Someone got the jump on me in halo 5 and I pressed both bumpers and nothing happened. Like seriously wtf? I'd have killed an entire team in destiny if I did that.

Destiny is different and in some ways better (open-ish explorable areas) but it lacks the story elements that halo has mastered (at least the older halos) has the halo multiplayer is very very balanced and evenly paced but the Destiny multiplayer is not.
