Cause I would really like to know. BTW yes I know this game is based on RNG, all I'm saying is do bad players DESERVE good loot.
It feels like destiny's loot system is loyal to the bad players, I guess that's why no one ever helps them in raids and stuff.
This is how the loot system should be...

Bad players don't deserve good loot, so if we give them something to fight for they'll stop being at the bottom of the leader board.
I bet half of the people who hate this post probably aren't that great at pvp.
The way bungie should fix this is to increase the chances of legendaries the higher you up on the leader board.

Edited by Brockie: 7/20/2016 6:18:37 AMAbsolutely they do. That might not be bad players, maybe the matchmaking messed up, or they threw themselves under a bus getting zones. What if every player on their team excelled? Someone still has to be sixth. Also... Remember when the mountaintop and the original iron banner tried to punish failure and people just quit out? Trying to punish failure will just lead to resentment and dropouts. Why should they stay really? They put in time and effort just as much as the leader, and arguably had a less pleasant time. Insulting them by denying them rewards is stupid and selfish. Them getting nice things doesn't hurt you.

bad player bad rolls good player decent rolls God roll > RNG

2 RepliesEdited by Violet Varlerie: 7/18/2016 2:42:03 AMI'm guessing year 2 player, if he was here in year one he would know the reason it happens. Edit: if he is year 2, he's been playing day and night.
-
Yes. It motivates them to keep playing.
-
Yeah they do. They catch the bullets meant for me.
-
The vast majority of the community disagrees with you. Your post lost the match.
-
2 RepliesConsider this: Only top players receive notable loot. Lower skilled players lose interest. Quickly. Player pool average skill rises. Pubstompers no longer receive KD fodder and must fend off players in a difficulty range which makes them uncomfortable. Crucible becomes even more sweaty/meta to combat the higher average skill. Condition of Crucible is blamed on SBMM. You get exactly what we experience today. Long scenario short, it won't change anything.
-
Why not? If less skilled players never got good loot it would make it even harder for them to compete. Even if they do get an awesome weapon, doesn't mean they will transform into a crucible God.
-
So if everyone did the same thing and had the same score outcome, the people at the bottom still don't get anything? I'm disagreeing with the post, go ahead look at my stats.
-
Why do we all care about l00t so much? Just play the game, have fun in PvP, your reward is entertainment. If you think PvP isn't fun, just remember no one is forcing you to play it. Sure it's a l00t based game, but do you honestly need that legendary shotgun or auto rifle that 99% of the time will have a shit roll? And everyone complains about getting nothing but motes or coins even though they placed first, but you'd probably delete 90% of the stuff you actually get from crucible.

9 RepliesSo you're saying if I get put in a match at the end, I shouldn't get any thing cause I'm bad even though there's no way I could get to the top of the board in thirty seconds?
-
1 ReplyBungie logic If you are good, u don't need anything else (since you already have everything good) If you are bad, then you have no good stuff (thus you need some good stuff) It fricking sucks but it makes sense
-
So you're saying never reward bad players?
-
nope.
-
I'll repeat this. If you constantly reward the best players with the best gear then they will always be the best players. So, yes. People at the bottom of the leader board should get decent gear dropping.
-
If it keeps scrubs coming back to the crucible its ok with me though. Scrubs become decent every day and in the meantime they are needed cannon fodder.
-
In terms of Deserve I say YES!! simply because the guys at the bottom may be the victim of the shit ping that plagues IB and always has done, its more a game of luck even before RNG shows its head.... Sometime I get lucky and get top in my team, most of the time I'm bottom 3, if I didn't get loot I wouldn't play .... Repeat for 1000's of other players and then you too would eventually never get top ...
Be aware that what you think is a good idea can easily bite you in the arse
-
5 RepliesThats like saying you shouldnt help poor people, because it makes them get rich.
-
They do need it the most, in a way...
-
2 RepliesIf they did bad enough to consider leaving matchmaking the good drop may make then decide to keep playing.
theory
-
If my team is losing badly I deliberately try to get on the bottom of the leader board because I know I might something good. During sparrow racing after I got my bounties done I tried to get 5th place everytime and when I did I got a lot of good stuff.
-
2 RepliesHey there is a better image for the first one where the guy actually did really bad, had like a .02 something instead of a 2.0 guy who just joined probably.
-
Yes. RNG is RNG. Why not is the better question. I don't care what anyone gets. I just hope I get good stuff. Your idea would just keep the best players on top. Because new players that are unskilled would just keep getting stomped. It would be like saying you only get good gear from trials or HM oryx. Stop caring about others and just play.

4 RepliesSo I spawned into a game 4000 pts from the end got spawn killed 3x in a row. I had a .2 kd and got boots after the game. Seems pretty fair to me
-
1 ReplyI think its individual RNG. Has nothing to do with performance or Light level.
