"Out David."
"No no no dearest. When my big sister is exchanging pretty looks with a lizard, I might as well get to know him."
David turned to Derrick. His face was expressionless. His tone was cynical. Dead grey eyes looked up to Derrick's ice blue eyes. He extended his hand towards him.
"Another D in the circle. Does your surname start with Q?"
"David, stop talking."
English
-
"No, it starts with T. As in Tibernes." He noted David's attitude, Drew's sudden change of mood, he took it all in note. "Look, if you're here to make any trouble, I advise waiting for later. Now's not the time for drama. It's time for celebration." He swiftly shook his hand. "Good to meet you, David."
-
"No, I have no intentions of causing a riot. I simply want to know the man who's eyeing my sister. You two have been getting along nicely?"
-
"We have, yes. Your sister is a very gentle, very beautiful individual. I couldn't be happier that she has decided to become a part of my life. And I hope you are alright with it. Because, well, I intend to see our relationship to its fullest." As he says his last phrase, he smiles at her.
-
David bursts into laughter. His relationship with his sister is complicated to say the least. Drew gave her little brother an angry look. "You... And Drew... And..." David laughed. And laughed and laughed and laughed. Drew smacked her brothers head, yet he still laughed. "That's not my sister you've met. Whoever you met sounds lovely."
-
"Well, I won't trample on your opinion. But my opinion on Drew is very well founded, I find." He didn't mind the laughter. Either he was basically trying to make an ass of himself, or was just an ass period. But, in either case, he had dealt with plenty of asses before, and not in the shmecksy way. "Now, if that will be all, I will take your sister out to a nice celebratory dinner."
-
"Alright. Enjoy your food then." David went his own way, chuckling to himself. Drew turned to Derrick, with an ashamed look on her face. "I am so sorry."
-
"Hey..." He put his hand on her chin. "Don't look so down, love. After all, it's not him I fell for, it's you." He chuckles.
-
"I know..." Drew went back and gave Derrick another squeeze.
-
He hugged her back, kissing her forehead. "Now let me treat you to a nice romantic dinner..."
-
"Ooh, that sounds really nice. Where are you taking me then?"
-
"Your own quarters... you'll see." He smiles. With the ship having suffered some damage, it would stay with the station to assist with repairs for a day. The crew of the bridge was then dismissed. Derrick took Drew to her own quarters, where she found a candle lit dinner awaiting them. Rose petals were scattered around the room, and at the table were two plates of chicken milanese with spaghetti, cooked by Derrick himself.
-
Drew beheld the sight of her quarters. She found it very amusing. Derrick had gone far out of his way to prepare such a date. "Wow, all for me? How did you get in here in the first place?"
-
"Remember how I conveniently arrived after everyone on the bridge? I came here first to prepare everything. Set the plates in self-heating platters, and put the candles on a timer. All for you, darling..." He entered, pulling her chair for her to seat.
-
"But how did you get in here?" Drew turned to Derrick and playfully squished his face with her hands.

Edited by Shadlezz: 6/26/2016 11:55:59 PM"You left the door unlocked, silly!" He chuckles. "Now sit down, I want to know what you think of my cooking."
-
"Again? Goda- I can't beleive it. Someone's gonna break in and steal my stuff one day." Drew sat down and stared at her food. Moments later, she turned to Derrick with a smirk on her face. "Test it."
-
"Test what? My food?" He raises an eyebrow.
-
"How do I know that you haven't poisoned it?"
-
"You think I would poison you? Goodness, I know my cooking isn't the best but jeez... I thought you trusted me more than that..." He takes his fork, hovers it above her plate, stabs it into a chicken strip, wraps it in some noodles then eats it, all the while never breaking eye contact with her. He slowly chews it, then swallows. "Proof enough?"
-
Drew started into Derrick's eyes and bursts out in laughter moments later. She tries to hold it in, but fails miserably. There isn't any harm in a little joke. "Yeah I'm convinced. Does it taste good?"
-
"See for yourself."
-
Drew grabbed her fork and spinned a mouthful of spaghetti. As she took it all in one bite, slurping up the last bit, it filled her mouth. She looked just as a chipmunk as she ate. After careful chewing and swallowing, she smiles at Derrick as she wiped off the sauce with her sleeve. "Even if this was poisoned, it's really, reeeaaally good."
-
He gave her a light smile. "Glad you like it." He began eating from his own plate, the candle flames dancing softly in front of them.
-
Drew kept eating with gusto. From the small bits of sauce around her mouth and a quarter of the food already eaten, it was safe to say she enjoyed the food. She took a brief pause and once again cleaned her mouth with a napkin this time. "How did you learn how to cook this? It's sooooo good you have to teach me!"
-
His smile widened. "It's self taught. With the help of some... experimenting. Well, lots of experimenting." He kept eating, getting about halfway through.
