What to do with Destiny threads in #Gaming?
Whenever a Destiny thread shows up in #Gaming, many users (including myself) jump on it with varying degrees of animosity in hopes of getting it moved to the right subforum. I'd like to poll #Gaming to see what users think is the appropriate response for Destiny topics in this subforum.
To satisfy the call for game-related topics: I like Overwatch but not Dark Souls. Let the hate flow.

Ask them to re-tag their post for the section they require. It's not being a dick about it. If they post it to the right sub forum for what they need it their post will get the attention it warrants. Posting recruitment threads or asking for help in #Gaming isn't going to help them.

Redirect them to whatever subforum it's relevant to. People who go "swiggity swesticle be gone desticle" just give everyone a bad reputation for being children.

Answer with relevant reply or ignore. No reason to hate on them. I honestly don't see the problem with having a post about Destiny every 100 posts. I know some of them have been using #Gaming, and they're not familiar with the other subforums. I understand the need to help with a friendly comment like "This is #Gaming...", but stuff like "Not interested" or "Get the -blam!- out" is unnecessary.

What if someone takes a post out of context because certain games use the same terminology as Destiny? What about the fact that nowhere under gaming does it state that under any circumstances Destiny can't be discussed under gaming? And really, animosity? False reporting? Over this? Complete nonsense. The adult thing to do would be to skim past the post if it bothers you that much. But you have no power here, people don't have to answer to you. If it follows Bungie.nets guidelines and procedures, is not insulting etc, then it doesn't matter what people choose to discuss. And if it does, that is why the site has moderators, if they feel the post should be moved or taken down, they can say so. Not you. You have no right to try and censor people over discussing a video game on a site devoted to video games People should not have to tiptoe on eggshells simply to post an opinion that doesn't harm anyone, except when it doesn't meet with some goofy, internet, unspoken filing system.

Is that something others have noticed, or is it a figment of my imagination? Edit: back when I helped out in #Help, I also noticed non help issues being quickly diverted to proper subforums. Are there just less mods patrolling #Gaming?

Down vote and lead them to the correct sub forum. Destiny is still a popular game as far as I'm aware of, and new people are coming to the forums all the time. Give them a friendly welcome send them on their way.
