MORE THAN SIX TEAMS, NINE HOURS LATER ON ORYX, AND I AM DONE.
#Recruitment and this forum couldn't kill an ogre if they had a gun pointed to their head. They couldn't get a critical even WITH a night stalker shot. Having a team full of Titans and STILL make someone complain about not being SAFE in a BUBBLE and changing EVERYTHING.
I can't wrap my head around this. Honestly. I've been going at the challenge for a few days, changing roles without fail, and yet it's always either a glitch or, in most cases, someone can't handle their own task even with the aid of more than three players. If you REALLY were experienced, you'd take down your own ogres and Knights by yourself and STILL have enough time to help others. STAGGER THEM. Don't say they're "teleporting" if you aren't even doing a dang thing to stop them!!! Come ON.
And bombs: GET THEM!!! Make sure you're in the RINGS, that's what it MEANS. If I have to stay in the middle and watch as you mess up, call it out, and still not be able to get all the bombs, MORE THAN ONCE, then something inside your cranium is either turned off or rotting.
AND PEOPLE. DONT HOP ON TO PLAY IF YOU JUST WENT THROUGH A BREAK UP! Seriously! Why have the majority of my teams consist either of moaning zombies or guys with screaming kids PRACTICALLY ON THEIR LAP. My ears are still ringing, and I don't think they'll stop anytime soon.
Is it my fault for playing so long? Sure. I mean, it's not like I've been wanting to play SOMETHING after finishing my finals and ultimately the college semester. And of course, people have lives. Just...in a game of communication and being able to kill an enemy, it's important to COMMUNICATE AND KILL ENEMIES. Take care of your business before you play, read the requirements of my post, then join...for Gods sake.
No more. I am passive aggressive, but the sheer ineptness that I've witnessed just switched off that part of me. No more. From now on, I'll have specific requirements, including age, volume of voice + your surroundings, and how much time I'll give. I know now from experience that I can't post a simple "Let's get it done, be 310+". I understand now.
Good day. Goooood day.
Edit: Before I turn in for the day, I just want to say that this thread was made purely out of the frustration I had built up over time due to the challenge mode. I assure you that I am in fact a team player, and never once have I vocally gotten on someone's case prior to this, nor have I left a fireteam without at least saying thank you or take care. That's all.
And thank you to those who have offered their assistance; not sure if I'm going to attempt it tomorrow, but we'll see. My brain is still fried.
Update: at 4 ct I'll be running it again with a team from the100.io for about 45 mins, then I'll move on to those here that offered both their teams and aid.
And for all this time I've been on the forums (maybe four years?) I have never gotten so many replies. Whoa.

2 RepliesMy experience too. 5 or 6 different groups. We were close one time and I screwed up. We had 12 orbs and I was 3rd plate. Number 2 jumps up, so I jump too. Except he floats down slow and I don't. Well, we all know how that ends. I felt bad but next time I'll be more patient.

1 ReplyDoes someone need a snickers?

This is without a doubt the challenge where it pays to be the relic runner!
-
2 RepliesI know you Youre the guy that sits in the middle doing -blam!- all but complaining, leaving to go ruin another fireteam asap.

I did the Warpriest challenge on the Tuesday, did it first time. I did the Golgoroth challenge on the Friday, didnt finish it till the Monday, after more than 50 attempts. I did the Oryx challenge on the Tuesday, did it first time. I will only be raiding midweek from now on lol.
-
5 RepliesMy and some randoms did it on Friday in 15 minutes :P Next time you're spending that much time on a group, just hit me up lol
-
8 RepliesThat is why I don't play with scrubs I also don't like people that rage quit after two wipes if you leave after two wives most of the time you were the reason for the wipes
-
On Tuesday when the elitist went through. That was the easiest. My 3 went through in a hour. But as days go on. The rank system lowers so by Sunday. It's all scrubs. So when you get mad and rage. Remember you are to scrub to get it done when it's fresh.

2 RepliesYou have more patience than me 2 teams 2 hours total same guy dies every time
-
You probably got "raid burnout." Happens when you beat your head against a wall for over 5 hours in the same encounter. Gotta get rest and a nap man. You will feel like a new man. Recharged and ready to collect shoot loot piñatas.

3 RepliesI've found pickup groups tend to be better Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday

Edited by MuffsFatMan: 12/21/2015 3:05:44 AMI don't understand these rage posts about oryx hard. For gods sake it's Sunday your 5 days to late.

I feel your pain after spending waaaaay more time than I care to admit to get this challenge done with pick up groups in #recruitment. I was fortunate to get it done on our very last run this morning. Here's some observations that I'm sure many know: Two 314+ titans with ToM, blessing, and weapons in the middle between sister platforms will consistently melt ogres before they can even take a step or teleport. Drop the bubbles right when the relic running jumps on the 1st plate. These titans focus on the 4th lighteater knight before staggering oryx. Judging the team randoms; if you can get to 3rd shade by the 3rd or 4th attempt without anyone dieing, you'll at least have a reasonable chance to complete the challenge with that group. The cold reality is most random teams will never finish this. Assign how to handle the bomb detonation before starting, and restate it before each run. Trying to work it out right after the 3rd shade never turned out good for me and increased the group frustration 10 fold because a) bombs will be missed, or b) not enough dps on oryx to down him. Just has just been my observations after my part time job of doing oryx challenge this week. Good luck to those still trying for this emblem.

I feel your pain brother, and I am sorry that you can't find any decent people on these forums..

You still have tomorrow
-
I just say no backpacks. Usually works out well, and if anyone performs below standards, you already have the excuse to kick them.
-
If you want to make sure that you get it done, the best way is to recruit your own people and have specific requirements. Maybe not age or gender or any of that crap, but some things that make sense in game. If someone can't handle their role and has had multiple issues that you've pointed out, it's probably time to find another fire team member. Sorry you had such a crappy experience.

4 RepliesHere are some synonyms to what you are: Whiner Wimp Complainer Grumbler Softy Wuss Moaner Sissy Griper Faultfinder Bellyacher Touchy Querulous Huffy Can you guess what the magical word is?
Yes, The word you're looking for is Crybaby
STOP...CRYING...GOD DAMIT

If you don't finish you're almost better starting from scratch... People at Oryx are 5/6 in their party primarily for 1 reason......

Edited by Din: 12/21/2015 2:25:43 AMThat's bad luck. I pugged it 3 times this week. Total time spent about 4 hours. I thought that was pretty good for Pugs. Edit: if all your groups fail you should look at yourself as well. Be honest, you may be the problem. Ask for help, good players will provide it.

It's just because you are on PlayStation. It's filled with casuals who don't understand this game.
