MORE THAN SIX TEAMS, NINE HOURS LATER ON ORYX, AND I AM DONE.
#Recruitment and this forum couldn't kill an ogre if they had a gun pointed to their head. They couldn't get a critical even WITH a night stalker shot. Having a team full of Titans and STILL make someone complain about not being SAFE in a BUBBLE and changing EVERYTHING.
I can't wrap my head around this. Honestly. I've been going at the challenge for a few days, changing roles without fail, and yet it's always either a glitch or, in most cases, someone can't handle their own task even with the aid of more than three players. If you REALLY were experienced, you'd take down your own ogres and Knights by yourself and STILL have enough time to help others. STAGGER THEM. Don't say they're "teleporting" if you aren't even doing a dang thing to stop them!!! Come ON.
And bombs: GET THEM!!! Make sure you're in the RINGS, that's what it MEANS. If I have to stay in the middle and watch as you mess up, call it out, and still not be able to get all the bombs, MORE THAN ONCE, then something inside your cranium is either turned off or rotting.
AND PEOPLE. DONT HOP ON TO PLAY IF YOU JUST WENT THROUGH A BREAK UP! Seriously! Why have the majority of my teams consist either of moaning zombies or guys with screaming kids PRACTICALLY ON THEIR LAP. My ears are still ringing, and I don't think they'll stop anytime soon.
Is it my fault for playing so long? Sure. I mean, it's not like I've been wanting to play SOMETHING after finishing my finals and ultimately the college semester. And of course, people have lives. Just...in a game of communication and being able to kill an enemy, it's important to COMMUNICATE AND KILL ENEMIES. Take care of your business before you play, read the requirements of my post, then join...for Gods sake.
No more. I am passive aggressive, but the sheer ineptness that I've witnessed just switched off that part of me. No more. From now on, I'll have specific requirements, including age, volume of voice + your surroundings, and how much time I'll give. I know now from experience that I can't post a simple "Let's get it done, be 310+". I understand now.
Good day. Goooood day.
Edit: Before I turn in for the day, I just want to say that this thread was made purely out of the frustration I had built up over time due to the challenge mode. I assure you that I am in fact a team player, and never once have I vocally gotten on someone's case prior to this, nor have I left a fireteam without at least saying thank you or take care. That's all.
And thank you to those who have offered their assistance; not sure if I'm going to attempt it tomorrow, but we'll see. My brain is still fried.
Update: at 4 ct I'll be running it again with a team from the100.io for about 45 mins, then I'll move on to those here that offered both their teams and aid.
And for all this time I've been on the forums (maybe four years?) I have never gotten so many replies. Whoa.

6 RepliesEdited by leroy0521: 12/21/2015 1:34:40 AMAdd me. We raid every week... successfully
-
I got it done on my hunter, tried it again on my titan.....yeah....imma wait till the reset when this challenge is over. So much lag and glitching.
-
We tried 20 hours over 4 days and finally get it done.
-
We're you on drugs when this happened.
-
1 ReplyThe common factor is YOU.......sometimes the problem is U
-
for vog the grind was worth it and fun, but this raid is not worth all that time
-
That's why I stopped trying, this game is not even worth it.
-
Sometimes I feel like I should do the raid. Then posts like this remind me why I would be wasting my time. (I'm not bragging, I would probably be part of the problem...because I don't raid, it's a no win).
-
I do what I want.
-
Now go to sleep.

I didn't have a good experience today, either. I couldn't get in a group, and then I still couldn't beat it despite the only time I messed up was because I got killed under unavoidable circumstances. The group I got with just wasn't cut out for it, and I still haven't beaten it. I feel your pain, just not on the same level.
-
1 ReplyMeanwhile I one shot my first try. It was supposed to be our "get ammo and super energy run", but we went with it and killed him. Lol.
-
3 RepliesI've been trying to get into a Hard raid for 3 days, not a single invite -blam!- this elitist BS
-
Edited by kimcheerocket: 12/21/2015 3:50:05 AMThe trick is to get in there early after reset. That's when the more hardcore players finish it. Wait for the weekend and you'll run into more of the casual crowd. That's been my experience.

Wonder why you don't have friends...
-
Ay dog im ya boy. Send me a friend request bruh

1 ReplyWant to do Oryx? I have cp.

2 RepliesTry finding good teams. If you pay attention, you can tell within 5-6 runs how your team chemistry is coming up. You can see progress. If there is none, get out of there. I have finished 1 challenge mode for oryx from lfg. Tomorrow is last day for you. I hope you get it done
-
ISaidGoodDay Man I feel ya. But im sorry that I had to laugh at your plight. I came across several of those groups.
-
It's a really easy fight. There are just a lot of bad players. I spent over an hour on it with an LFG group and then same two people kept dying to ruin it. Joined another a bit later and we did it in 1 run. Make your own group and boot people who continually cause wipes. Anyone can die once but if you screw up multiple times you are wasting everyone else's time and should be practicing in normal.

1 ReplyDoes this guy have a life?
-
I use lfg too. I've run in to this a lot. My advice, give a team 5 tries to show you they know what they are doing. Minor mistakes happen, but if you haven't gotten to the second shade in 5 tries, bail and find another group.
-
Did challenge mode early this morning. Our initial group gave it a few goes before we realized one teammate was failing miserably at killing his knight or surviving afterwards, so he got the boot. Luckily we had a spare in the party ready to jump in and we did it on the first try.
-
My experience: Cleared up to Sisters, and my Clanmates then proceeded to ignore me and never help me with finishing it.
-
1 ReplyWith the challenge this week it requires all 6 players to do their part the whole time. Considering you posted this on an account that hasn't played for a long time it's pretty obvious who the weak link was in those groups...
-
2 RepliesMy experience too. 5 or 6 different groups. We were close one time and I screwed up. We had 12 orbs and I was 3rd plate. Number 2 jumps up, so I jump too. Except he floats down slow and I don't. Well, we all know how that ends. I felt bad but next time I'll be more patient.
