MORE THAN SIX TEAMS, NINE HOURS LATER ON ORYX, AND I AM DONE.
#Recruitment and this forum couldn't kill an ogre if they had a gun pointed to their head. They couldn't get a critical even WITH a night stalker shot. Having a team full of Titans and STILL make someone complain about not being SAFE in a BUBBLE and changing EVERYTHING.
I can't wrap my head around this. Honestly. I've been going at the challenge for a few days, changing roles without fail, and yet it's always either a glitch or, in most cases, someone can't handle their own task even with the aid of more than three players. If you REALLY were experienced, you'd take down your own ogres and Knights by yourself and STILL have enough time to help others. STAGGER THEM. Don't say they're "teleporting" if you aren't even doing a dang thing to stop them!!! Come ON.
And bombs: GET THEM!!! Make sure you're in the RINGS, that's what it MEANS. If I have to stay in the middle and watch as you mess up, call it out, and still not be able to get all the bombs, MORE THAN ONCE, then something inside your cranium is either turned off or rotting.
AND PEOPLE. DONT HOP ON TO PLAY IF YOU JUST WENT THROUGH A BREAK UP! Seriously! Why have the majority of my teams consist either of moaning zombies or guys with screaming kids PRACTICALLY ON THEIR LAP. My ears are still ringing, and I don't think they'll stop anytime soon.
Is it my fault for playing so long? Sure. I mean, it's not like I've been wanting to play SOMETHING after finishing my finals and ultimately the college semester. And of course, people have lives. Just...in a game of communication and being able to kill an enemy, it's important to COMMUNICATE AND KILL ENEMIES. Take care of your business before you play, read the requirements of my post, then join...for Gods sake.
No more. I am passive aggressive, but the sheer ineptness that I've witnessed just switched off that part of me. No more. From now on, I'll have specific requirements, including age, volume of voice + your surroundings, and how much time I'll give. I know now from experience that I can't post a simple "Let's get it done, be 310+". I understand now.
Good day. Goooood day.
Edit: Before I turn in for the day, I just want to say that this thread was made purely out of the frustration I had built up over time due to the challenge mode. I assure you that I am in fact a team player, and never once have I vocally gotten on someone's case prior to this, nor have I left a fireteam without at least saying thank you or take care. That's all.
And thank you to those who have offered their assistance; not sure if I'm going to attempt it tomorrow, but we'll see. My brain is still fried.
Update: at 4 ct I'll be running it again with a team from the100.io for about 45 mins, then I'll move on to those here that offered both their teams and aid.
And for all this time I've been on the forums (maybe four years?) I have never gotten so many replies. Whoa.

1 ReplyAll the problem was for me was LFG was crowded with incompetent squeakers who didn't ever even beat hard mode so they had no idea what the knights were. I left, a friend of mine had a team, and we went through it flawlessly on one run on all 3 characters,

Edited by NYDIBS: 12/21/2015 3:53:16 PMyou know what all those bad teams had in common?
you were on them. maybe its you
I don't mean to rub it in or anything, and this is coming from a player who has never been in a clan and has been rocking the LFGs since Vault of Glass... but there has to be a reason these people haven't done it yet!!! Try getting rid of the challenges on Tuesdays: most of the good players are trying to get it done on the first day of the reset. Waiting on the following Sunday or Monday, you're left with the people who couldn't do it themselves. I know, I know... real life gets in the way, people have jobs, we need to sleep sometimes... I'm just saying... in my experience, the player pool is better on reset than any other day. Good luck, mate!

1 ReplyI've waited until Monday before and talk about a nightmare lol. All I use is lfg.
-
part of the reason, if not the whole reason I don't do raids anymore
-
2 RepliesThat's why I try to get all my raiding done on reset day. That is when all the best/ better players are doing it.

Change your status to: Gettin' tired of your shit, Recruitment.

While your definitely being a little dramatic. What you say is true. I would say 80% of lfg teams I've played on fail to beat Oryx. The new raid requires that everyone does their job. On Atheon you could be successful with just four people doing their job. Mainly just having two people that can run relic and two people who can hold down plates or kill oracles based on who gets teleported. On Crota you could get by with just 2 competent people as long as one could run sword and one could down Crota with two ghorn rounds. The others job was just don't die and try to help down Crota, sword bearer, and ogers if you can. Otherwise once again just don't die .That's why so many people could kill Crota yet fail at Atheon and now Oryx. That's just how it is. Just deal with it and stop bitching find some friends or quit. I have raided with over 100 different lfg teams. I've seen it all.

I've found the players who get into a fireteam and immediately start talking about how many fail teams they've been on are more often than not part of the problem. Common denominator on all those fail teams? You.
-
I worked out what's going wrong with all the teams your joining....................It's must be you your the only link to all the failures lol.
-
People suck at this game thats why bungie nerfs everything to cater to those trash players
-
Destiny LFG rule #1: Never use Bungie.net
-
Lfg sucks but I get everything done I need to every time with it, and for that reason I am grateful for it
-
2 RepliesYou sound like you could use a clan that is on when you are or need to recruit good players to your clan next time you play with a random you enjoy
-
I've never used #recruitment or anyone from here, I'm on these forums enough to know better lol :-/ LFGdestiny app is good, I haven't a bad group through there, mainly I use it for Weekly's as the raids I've done have been with friends/of friends.
-
It's 9am for me so to me you've been playing for a whole of 10 minutes...
-
I had a team with four randoms yesterday that had beaten it before and we did it on the third attempt.
-
Been there dude. I made my share of mistakes but between gliches, people that can't/won't follow directions, drunk people, slow relic runners, people that refuse to communicate, ragers, etc, it's very frustrating at times.
-
i did all three runs within three tries with LFG forum teams. This strategy is even easier than no knights. Get on 315+ teams if you can and boot anyone with lag and you should be fine.

3 RepliesMost people suck at oryx.
-
///sounds frustrating bro. I think you've come to this realization but you need to form your own fireteam w your own requirements and explain up front that you are going to assigning roles and if people can't handle their business, no offense but they'll be gone. Also, save the "good" ones as friends so you build up some options that you can trust over time.
-
Blah blah blah blah blah blah
-
I'll help you , It also took me awhile to run it on all 3 characters , unfortunately to many people grew accustomed to the no knight strat , we got lucky with golgoroth being able to only use one orb again, that challenge would be udderdly redicoulous without it
-
I completely understand. This is why the kick feature exists. Lead your own raid, and manage your fireteam. You may sound like an elitist jerk, but that's the sacrifice you have to make sometimes to clear raids. On LFG you have to kick the bad players before the good players leave.
-
I did oryx challenege with randoms. It took a few runs to get in sync but then we got it. Maybe like 30-45min tops Usually though, late in the week all the good people have done the raid. So only the shitty people are left
