Imposing of unwanted holidays
I do, unfortunately, expect hateful responses to what I have to say, but what can I do about that? The ignorant will reply.
Anyhoo, not everyone celebrates the pagan holidays(Halloween, Christmas, & Easter). My convictions, for example, are against them. Bad enough they are all around me in real life, since it's part of the culture. Do I really need it shoved down my throat in my video game playing too??? Seriously, it's bad enough I see it all around me now in Destiny, but on top of that, I have people all around the tower trying to give me candy, and the (unwanted)Jackolytes drop from enemies?!? I think I'm about to pick up a silken codex, but instead it's a jackolantern! I don't want it. I don't plan on scaring away the evil spirits with it. DON'T GIVE IT TO ME. Seriously, Bungie??? Please stop.

I don't really think it's "shoved down your throat" the include it for fun little antidotes to lighten the grind. Why are it as any more than that?

How exactly is it shoved down your throat in the game? I'm not sure you understand what "imposed" means. You aren't being forced to participate in any way. Don't like the quests or drops, just abandon the quests and dismantle the drops. Boom. You're done. Now if what you are saying is that merely seeing others participate in these activities somehow infringes on your Lily white civil liberties somehow, or have the notion that you shouldn't even have to be subject to witness the diversified cultural and religious practices of others, then you are an idiot and rightfully suspected the hate you would receive in response. Something tells me that you have some very real world experience with negative responses based off of the attitude that you expressed towards these activities in the "real life". It is a shame that you are so intolerant of others that you immediately draw parallels in this game to what you perceive as real world practices that you find unacceptable for whatever reason, and immediately cry foul on these forums. The fact is you were invited to participate, not forced. If you don't want to be included, then have the decency to decline with some respect. I know it's a foreign idea for you to show a touch of humility or understanding, but why not give it a try for once?

You either let the offensive stuff ruin your day or you suck it up and live life. Whining and crying about it will only make you a target so it's best to just shut up about it. How about you ignore it then. If you get a jackolantern, you don't have to use it. You don't have to wear the masks or collect candy or whatever. Nobody is forcing you to do so. Stop being so over sensitive and deal with it.

Regardless of whether I agree with you or not (I don't btw), you have to realize what a teeny, tiny, fraction of a percent minority you are on this issue. Do you have any reason to expect bungie to listen to such minor requests? Would you even really want them to? Think it through. They listen to you, and stop celebrating holidays in destiny. What's next? Do you want bungie to listen to everyone else's vastly unpopular opinions too? Or do you really think it's all just about you?
