-
2 RepliesHave it like warframe there stuff could be earned and purchased
-
1 ReplyHeres the thing, im curious to know HOW MUCH Bungie has made from these microtransactions per player to see the comparison with a DLC pricing model. According to some articles, these microtransactions are dominating the PS store addons. If they are making even more money than before, then they will most likely begin selling more than just emotes. As some people will say, it could turn into a slippery slope.

Smoked weed and had 40$ worth of silver in destiny
-
2 RepliesSilver is nothing to be concerned about. It's what they will sell for silver that could ruin this game beyond salvation.
-
i do ignore the fact you can buy stuff with silver. but if you could earn silver in-game i would spend it.

Edited by nicchae_KR: 10/31/2015 1:47:29 PMDon't give a shit because if Bungie wants me to open my wallet for some half-assed dancing emotes, they can look to people who are willing to meet their needs to fulfill their year-end bonus plan.
-
I don't think it is fair that some people have more silver than other people. As such, 50% of silver purchased should be evenly redistributed back to those in the community with a zero balance.
-
1 ReplyAt this point with the current emotes available it should stay how it is. Basically because the number of people who have already bought silver, if Bungie decide to change it so that you can earn silver then that would be a kick in the teeth for those who have already paid. In the future, should they make new items/emotes then they could be "earned" providing the current ones stay the same. That way not too many people will get pissed off. P.s. Yeah.... I spent 20€ for 3300 silver, Beer! I blame it on the beer haha oh well at least I can sarcastically clap at people O.o
-
It should only be purchased nobody forces you to buy silver it wont do you any good or bad if you do or don't. Yea you'll be able to do the Carrolton or the thriller but silver is for the people who want to get some more customization than others (not really customization but you know what i mean)
-
2 RepliesIt should be earned. But that would take to fun out of Bungievision taking our money.
-
I like my new emotes, I think it should be purchase only or play for it only not both
-
2 RepliesSatan seems to prefer silver... At least that is what I gathered from my punitive bible reading.
-
2 RepliesLet it go. You don't need the emotes and deej gave all some for free. If anything I'm happy, those people who buy silver are contributing towards free dlcs for us all. Not that I have anything against people who spend money, people can do anything they want within the law.

I hold the following position on Silver: If Bungie keeps it purely cosmetic (which, IMO, they have - the consumables are borderline useless and will disappear in a couple of weeks anyway) and if we see additional content that is not part of paid DLC and does not show severe decrease in quality from TTK, I'm okay with it. Going along with that, I am in favor of not letting players get silver for free. If it's only cosmetic stuff, and it goes to funding expansion to the game, I think it's fair that all of it be attached to real money because the more money Bungie gets from it, the more they can put into improving the game. Does this create a divide between free and paid players? Yes. However, it is only in appearance. In skill and gameplay ability, a free player can do anything a paid player can do, which in my mind is ideal for a system like this.

1 ReplySilver should not be earnable because then bungie would be able to further expand the microtransactions. Since the silver would be attainable in game they could use the excuse that everyone can buy the stuff since everyone owns the game. This would allow them to sell stuff such as weapons and armor which we don't want to happen. Note: this is me paraphrasing something teftyteft said in a planet destiny podcast (#41 I think) so if it sounds weirdly written that's why

12 RepliesIt should either be removed or it should be bought/earned in game. I'm not gonna drop money on emotes that have no use to me. I'm fine with just pointing at you.
-
Edited by SilverPulse: 10/30/2015 8:16:08 PMI am not for sale... :)
-
I don't buy any so it doesn't bother me. If the income generated improves the game I'm good with that.
-
I want Silver to be earn able, but not in super small amounts or too easily.
-
If they make silver earnable, then they will start more stuff than just accessories. This way it won't be pay to win, as you can earn silver as well. It should remain purchase able for the sake of the game.

1 ReplyJust to be clear on this. When I say that Silver can be earned, I mean that you can earn it through missions, quests, events, and specific bounties.
