So let's see, Destiny is fantastic now.
-New gun models
-New patrol
-New game modes
-New subclasses
-Weapon manufacturers
-Dynamic bosses
-Dynamic characters
-Improved ghost (ghost skins too)*
-Improved story
-Improved balance
-Experience levels
-More exotics that are actually interesting
-Gear changes (arc strangers rifle etc)
-Going to Titan?
-New ships
-Cut scenes
-Vanguard getting off their asses
-Bungie states "we need to fix stuff", acknowledged that they know they were wrong year 1 and are trying their best to fix it
-New enemy type
-Revamped strikes
-New raid
-Old, exotics good (necrochasm destroys)
-New weapon type!
-Swords! *confirmed
-Doubled vault space
-Exotic blueprints, retrievable exotics
-Old exotics can be upgraded

[b]Important edit:[/b] Bungie is on the chopping block right now. If they fail to deliver what they have released like at E3 (2013), then they [i]know[/i] the game is screwed. Destiny will have no chance if they don't deliver. That's why I'm being optimistic, because Bungie can't afford another shitstorm.
Edit: Sadly, some of you can't read. Cutscenes promote an in game story.

The only thing I have a problem with is how cheap it all feels compared to the original release. The latest trailer is generic game.

17 RepliesI think it would be cool if you had more than 6 guardians doing the raid. We are attacking a god, we might as well take an army of guardians, Reef soldiers, vanguard, and other npcs that we've met. I think it would be cool if Variks was in the war.

Bungie is apologizing to Year 1 players for dealing with all the crap we had to. If Taken King actually is amazing, and shows that Bungie is improving, then I will forgive them. If not, then I'm done with Destiny.

I'll believe an actual story when I see it. As far as weapons go yeah I'm upset, because new weapons suck. Having to to to Mercury or best lvl 35 for a chance at elemental primaries is BS. I liked TDB where you had to beat certain areas to get a specific weapon. They should have done that with the normal mode to get the special and heavies too though. Now rather than making weapons more powerful or as powerful as old weapons you have to choose between perks. You can have this perk but this stat goes down. They're not even trying to make gear or weapons better, they're just making old ones obsolete and forcing new ones on you. At least with TDB the weapons were comparable to VOG weapons. If they can't make weapons actually better at least make new ones as good as old ones. It takes more than adding damage to make a weapon better.
