So there's no point in doing level 35 Skolas
I thought people did it for the elder cipher, but as it turns out it drops from level 34.
Sooooooooo what's the point of 35 Skolas?
Edit: changed 32 to 34
32 is for one of the later parts of the bounty.
Edit: as per bungies update Skolas is gonna get a little easier, but they are also removing burns from his encounter.
This will make it even worse Imo, as thus doesn't exclude modifiers such as lights witch or grounded.
Also this might be the last time we get to spray him with gjallarhorns for the easy win.

Removing the elemental burn is not going to eliminate gjallaburn. He will still be manhandled by it time and time again.

Is like it if the make lvl 35 more "no ghally" user friendly even if it's just a bit because all everyone asks is a ghally and a Titan and my only 34 is a hunter and I have no ghally thanks to RNGod

No point unless you want prison armour or need a light. If you regularly run prison then the armour helps. I prefer trials armour and weapons so cant be bothered with prison, done the 35 twice got the ship etc. Might do it if friends need a 3rd but otherwise prob wont bother. Did the 34 yesterday got elder cipher did the 35 straight after got the queens cipher. So will have to go through if i want to finish bounty. Its fun now and again, but its no trials 😉

The shader is pretty neat. Also the ship. I did it with my group on the arc burn week. Spent way too much time on it.

15 RepliesThe initial elder cypher bounty only drops in PoE 35 after the recent patch. Bungie replied to my question on this very issue after reading the patch notes.

First time I did skolas elder cipher did 34 nothing

34 is a very low chance. Done 15 - 20 34's no elder cipher (I only play one character now no point in multiple) done skolas twice and gotten one cipher both times.

The fight is actually pretty fun without getting torched by captains and Skolas this week, or vandals/dregs/melee during arc burn week. Basically, void burn made the encounter fun. I'm looking forward to this.

1 ReplyOther than the Cipher, Judgments Chance and Rep I see no other point if you've already beaten it once before. People say the weapons? Most of them are terrible in comparison to ToO weapons not to mention you have what seems like the highest chance in the universe to get the horrible thing that is Shank Burn and Dreg Burn(still crying about my Last Rebellion having shank burn as a rocket launcher...). Other than that I guess you could just collect them for looks? Although I hate the fact that they look so unique but have no custom firing animations or sounds, it just throws the whole pseudo-exotic design out the window and makes it pointless so I cant even collect them for aesthetics. Not to mention from what I'm hearing the Cipher has a higher drop rate than the primaries.(I've gotten 2 Ciphers out of only 3 runs so its pretty believable for me) Which to me is god awful.

Actually in my opinion he was easier with Void then he is this week because the Solar makes that damn scorch cannon a beast lol

Lol the PoE gear sucks and unless your going for the elder cipher (I was lucky enough to get all of them already) it seems PoE is a waste of time. I'm just trying to get the scout rifle and then im gonna stop running it. Maybe I'll do the 32 for the armor if variks is selling something's BESIDES strength armor pieces
