Do You Think A Lvl 30 Could Run Relic On VoG Hard Templar?
Edit: I'm not a Christmas noob I've been here since beta but never did VOG till January(Was A noob when it came out and didn't watch vids). I posted this because I got kicked earlier because I wasn't lvl 31+

It's a level 30 raid that was meant for a team of level 30s Of course a 30 can hold relic My team did it with a 29 as relic holder

Before Dlc I ran relic on hard Templar as a 30 while everyone else would be up top.. of course it's possible....

I always run the relic for my group and I ran it as a 29 before I got crota armor. So those kids who kicked you are fags

A 30 can do the relic...I've done it as a 29. Chances that a 30 would know how to use the relic is slim though unless the guy self nerfed himself for the helm

3 RepliesA lvl 30 is fine for hard mode and is more than capable for defeating the raid with little problems. However, most elite players will prefer the newer high lvl caps because the 32's have a slight damage increase which can make the raid a lot easier. A group of 32's with Jelly horns can wipe Atheon on the first run with coordination. As long as you have a good team, I don't see why a lvl 30 or 31 wouldn't be able to do their part and enjoy the raid. Maybe the people you were with are just jerks. :)

Yes. The VoG was designed for 30s. It makes no difference in damage output if you are a 32 or a 30, because the damage scales down to 30. The only advantage is that the defense stays the same, so you can take more hits. But there would be no reason to take more hits if you are a good relic holder I encountered a random who joined our fireteam and commented on our guns and levels (we were all 31s) when we were doing hard raid. As most of our characters were alts, we tried to explain to him that 32s dont do shit in vog, but he kept ripping at us for our "shit" weapons (fatebringer, icebreaker and hunger of crota) so he left when he was the first person to die despite being a 32.

Of course that's the target level, however always have the highest level do it and have a defender Titan free to bubble the middle near the end of times Vengeance

There were very few players who were above lvl 29 when hard mode VoG first came out. I was one of those lvl 29s running the relic during Atheon fight. Why someone would require anything above lvl 30 to run VoG? Probably because they have no skill and need higher light lvl players to carry them thru.

Well VoG hard was designed for lvl 30s max with lvl 29s mixed in so....... I think too many people are getting spoiled with so many 31+ players running around that thats what they require. Its sad that you got kicked for being a lvl 30 in a LVL 30 RAID......

Everyone seems to forget, that once upon a time, level 30 was the highest level. So you had no choice but to run it as a 30, I actually did my first as a 29! All you need is a good strategy!
