I don't expect much intelligence coming from a gaming forum but I never would of surmised that such stupidity actually congregate here. If all the noobs leave and the only people left are those with KDs = to yours and up, guess what? You're the fukin noob now with the lowest KD and you will be wrecked. The only certain way to avoid noobs is to play with a dedicated team. There are plenty of good players looking for good teammates here...in the LFG section. Instead of whining and bitching, why don't you come up with a solution? #Ihatekids

Everyone was a n00b in PvP at some point, while playing some game or other. You are going to go negative if you're learning, that's just the way it is. You get killed until you can learn to kill. Period. I'm STILL learning, but I am enjoying the process and THAT'S what matters. Just do your best and have fun, f*ck the elitists.

17 RepliesThis. When I first started crucible, I tried incredibly hard. Using every cheap tactic, weapon, armor combination possible. Maintained about a 2.0 kd. I let my friend play a game, he finished around 4-15. Just bad, and I got a message. It said "You fuucking suck. Sell destiny and stop ruining my games" So, I did what any normal adult would do. I joined his game from his profile, and proceeded to let the enemy team kill me freely. Another message. "Kill yourself you faaggot". Ever since that day, I just do whatever I want in crucible, and mess around with friends using stupid guns. It's more fun for me, and quite funny

If your combat rating is about the same, but the other person has a higher KDR, it means they're more lucky than good because you both have the same amount of skill. I've seen plenty of guys here who have above 1 KDR (mine is .91), but both our CRs are in the 90's range, meaning I get as many wins as they do, which matters the most...just not as many kills. Any Combat Rating above 150 means the player is really good.

5 RepliesMy only problem with crucible is that 90% of players don't join the fireteam chat channel. I've had mine set to default into chat at the beginning since the feature was available. Why wouldn't you want to hear and talk to your teammates during a team based game?

1 ReplyYes I have a sub 1.0k/d in crucible. I don't suck though, I'm actually pretty decent. Same thing with halo games, I go massively negative while learning maps and tweaking builds. Sure I'll still throw up a .5 game once in awhile but for the most part im 1.5 or above and 1st or 2nd on my team.

Agreed, everybody learns. Keep trying and you will eventually become good. As long as it's fun, who minds the K/D? Destiny is not a competitive shooter.

No. I was in a skirmish match with my friend and the random had 0 points and finally got a kill with like 10 seconds left. We only lost by 160 points but this kid went had 1 kill 16 deaths and no assists.

4 RepliesI'm a PvP scrub n00b and proud to be a filthy casual. Sometimes I surprise myself and do well, most times though I'm just meh! So I'm basically the RNG of PvP - you never know what your team is gonna get from me. But don't worry PvPers, I don't often play crucible. Same for strikes and presumably raids. Oh well, back to the grind I suppose. [spoiler]This is my honest assessment of myself. What you may think of me when on the battlefields is totally your opinion - good or bad :)[/spoiler]

K/d means nothing to me. Anyone can sit in the back with a sniper and get a 4.00. How many people can snipe on firebase, get a 10 k/d and capture multiple points to flip spawns and give their team the advantage? Don't be fooled if i ever look for teammates I take everything into consideration, not just k/d. K/d is just a pretty number, I want to see how you operate in a team based game, that's all that matters.

I don't care if you have a .20 KD or a 20.0 KD it doesn't really matter just as long as you try your best. What really pisses me off is when people have a low KD because they are AFK. Firstly, if you're going AFK for a minute cause your mom or wife or something needs you that's cool, family should come before destiny. However if you go AFK for more than half the game for whatever reason then you should just not join the game in the first place or leave it when you should leave the game when you're going AFK. It's no fun for everyone else on the team when your just a point farm for the other team.

Sometimes I'll go 2.0, sometimes .50 lol. Really depends on if the other team is skilled player heavy and if my team can hold their own. I've noticed that if my team does badly, my KDR sucks, but there's some players that no matter how bad their team sucks... They walk outta there with a 3.0. This is what I want :(

My kdr is decent. And yes I scream a lot because I'm a try harder but that's my way of having fun. We all have our flaws when playing crusible.
