So, I have been playing since Day 1, and yet only had one character. I really like to focus on a single Class/Character and hone my skills with it, so as to become a really good player who knows how to handle his character well. I have always played with a Hunter, and I really like it.
However, I've been thinking about creating a second character, just for fun. Problem is: I've been having some trouble choosing which Class. What do you guys think I should choose, and why? Please balance things out. If you say something good, also mention the bad parts too, because I like to know those, and also need to know them.
Also, I will ignore any comments like "Master Race", "Master Class" or "X Class is for noobs/scrubs/casuals", etc, etc...
Trolls will also be ignored.
Thank you very much in advance!
I appreciate it a lot!
Edit: Ok, so after a lot of pondering, I finally reached my conclusion. I am going to follow the advice of some of you, and create both! I will level up both of them to 20 (And fully level up both sub-classes), and focus more on the one that suits my playing style the most. Thank you very much for the help everyone! It means a lot to me!
Keep up the good work Guardians! Have a really nice day, and good gaming!

1 ReplyI have all three and upgraded my titan last (he's still at 30) I have had the most fun with my titan so far and I don't think it will change. So I'd say go titan not because he's better or anything but he is much more fun

1 ReplyBoth are good

1 ReplyWhen I first started I made a warlock by my friends knowledge of the game of me beign new. I seen titans and I notice they were tanks. So I made a titan. I felt in love with the movement, it fitted my play style as I like beign aggressive player. I played a lot of cod so it fitted my shoes. I'm able to eat bullets and help my team out. The lightning grenades of a titan are no joke. I feel the titan has a better jump than all three classes. Don't get me wrong I enjoy playing my warlock but it feels more passive and slow but I love the grenades and turning super Saiyan or even becoming a living mummy to save my teams butt. It just seems you have to hold your fireborn like a hobo with a sandwich for a clutch moment. Well that's just me I don't like wasting it unless I see orbs. When I'm using my warlock and I don't see a titan on a raid team makes me want to cry but knowing I have one makes my day. Well those are my two cents and Good luck I favor the titan if your coming from a hunter.

1 ReplyAlso titans are in much desire right now because of their versatility and warlocks are not needed because a death in hard mode is usually a wipe so that nullifies the self revive. For all we know the warlock self revive might be as important in house if wolves as it was in VoG

1 ReplyUsed to only have a hunter and decided to make a warlock. They are extremely different and very enjoyable. Next I'm making a Titan. Can't go wrong but I think choosing a warlock first makes you appreciate the game from a different way. The agility takes a while to get used to but the nades and supers are a great upgrade from the hunter

6 RepliesBoth are really good classes. Titans and Warlocks are both the best classes for end game content (Raids, Nightfall's). I personally say warlock (as I have had warlock since beta and day one) but I love playing around with the Titan. In my oppinion it goes like this: Titan vs warlock. Catapult vs glide - both can be majorly annoying at times, the titans is good for the upwards boost as you can make yourself go higher distances upward but once it's out it's out. Warlocks on the other hand can cover greater distances with glide and only need a touch of a ledge for a second to continue their glide to safety. Warlocks win this one. Meele vs Space Magic - now let's talk secondary subclass as their first ones aren't as good as these two. defenders have a great Meele which let's them gain a shield, reload faster, ect. Which helps in MANY situations & a near instant reload is always good in massive fire fights. BUT against a warlock, a titans Meele is nothing tbh. Now a close contenter for warlock is when against a hunter as they have blink strike which can turn them invis or regen health but when up against a Titan, a warlocks space palm can be more effective. Firstly, a warlock can gain a decent shield with the slap (can get 2 if using the claws of ahamkara), secondly you can equip a perk which allows anything you hit to do DOT (damage over time) by burning. Thirdly as much as people love to argue this, while in radiance, using scorch Meele (WHEN ITS ABLE TO BE USED) can 70% of the time (in my experience) be a one hit kill. As much as people say this isn't true, it very well is true and I'll gladly prove anyone who says I'm wrong that I'm right, warlocks win this one. Fist of Havoc/Defender vs Voidwalker/Sunslinger - Writing this shortly just posting for now.

1 ReplyI would say Titan so you don't get used to sunsinger's fireborn (self res), it's dangerous, makes you reckless on nightfalls.
-
1 ReplyJust go ahead and make one of each, you will surely be less unhappy when getting armor rewards for the wrong class.
-
1 ReplyI enjoy using both classes. I would make one of each. Titan bubbles are awesome in pve and warlock self res is awesome. People will always tell u warlock self res is bad and don't use it but when you save ur fireteams nightfall run they'll be singing a different song.
-
1 ReplyI would say Titan simply because Hunters and Titans are so different, it will be very fun for you to use a class that is so different from being a Hunter :)
-
1 ReplyI'm warlock, and my second char will be titan, to use weapon of light on raids
-
2 RepliesMake one of each and have them waiting at level 1. Play whichever one you feel like.
-
1 ReplyUnless you are a close quarters player, titan is not for you. Titan's offensive subclass has seriously limited range on its abilities. And their armor looks stupid. Id definately say warlock but neither beat hunter
-
1 ReplyI say why not both? Titan would probably more your style because they can have a lot of armor and agility like the hunter but the jet pack will take some getting used to. Also titans have the best grenades in my opinion. Warlock is my least favorite but it has many advantages like fireborn (aka self revive) and flame shield and you can get two grenades without using a exotic slot but the lack of agility and/or armor is annoying sometimes you can get high agility and recovery or high armor and recovery never both armor and agility. I would still suggest having all three even if its just to get the grimore.
-
1 ReplyI play both but honestly prefer warlock. People complain about the jump but once you get used to it, it's not a pain whatsoever. Sunsinger is amazing for nightfalls and such while Voidwalker is just so much fun to use. If you get the obsidian mind, level up a Voidwalker immediately because it is that awesome. Titan has its good areas as well but since you like hunter, you don't seem like a close combat guy which is what a Titan is. But no matter what you choose, you should eventually level up one of each class.
-
2 RepliesBoth are fun! :)
-
1 ReplyI prefer Titans. I hated being limited by the lousy jumping of the Warlock when I used mine. I will be creating a Hunter soon though. I started with one in the alpha until I found out about Titans.
-
1 ReplyTitan. It is more needed in hard mode Crota

1 ReplyWarlock is love. Warlock is life. Melee range of 6ft. Space magic. Having BOTH subclasses able to excel in any area of the game. Space magic. Space magic. Easily the best exotic armor choices. Space magic.

1 ReplyEdited by F1nner: 2/1/2015 3:46:17 AMI have all 3 and my warlock is my fav, then titan, then hunter. Warlock nova bomb is so awesome and self rez is so clutch. Titan defender is so good for raids. I love throwing up a bubble at the last minute to save teammates. I'm just getting into the hunter because I got don't touch me. The bad : I hate warlock jumps and their void walker grenades. Titan...fist of havoc is useless against big bosses
-
1 ReplyTitan with Defender. PvP use Armor of Light, PvE get weapons of light. Or blessing for crota. It's perfect
-
1 ReplyEdited by bocaj00: 2/1/2015 3:40:50 AMThe warlock gets old quick, only thing I like is radiance and solar flares since it scares adds away. Titan would be the most usefull for team activities. I'm also a die hard hunter but I enjoy all three
-
1 ReplyTitan they have great abilities like the ward of dawn one of thee most useful supers they also look bad ass they are biger than hunters and warlocks. They are just all around the best and i know i have used them all a shit ton
-
1 ReplyI did the exact same thing you did except recently I made a Titan, having a blast leveling it up so far!
-
1 ReplyTitan
