Only if it is a friend of my friend in the game with me. I immediately boot that person and make sure it's set to invite only. I've lost an online friend because of it, but it's ok. I had known him for a week only lol. So point being, if I don't know you and it's my fault I forgot to change the setting, I'll boot!!
Edit : I guess no one can read. If a friend OF A FRIEND joins (meaning I more than likely don't even know the guy) than they get booted. I put the caps on :)
Edit : you guys can't even read, apparently some of you guys think I'm talking about kicking someone in the middle of a roc strike or that it's unfortunate they got qued up with me. I can't kick people from roc strikes and there is no matchmaking in a nightfall.
Edit : people still can't read or understand. also, there is a difference between "helping" and "carrying"
Edit : not sure why people are upset with how i play my game lol. it's my destiny disc. not yours. you have your own. sheesh people, getting a bit salty around here.

if I join my friends game and I get booted that friend gets taken off my friends list ....if you are on my list you and you're friends are always welcome
-
If its a friend sure. If its a random person on my list, boot. You want the reward then do the work.

1 ReplyWow ur sad :(

3 RepliesDick move. Dude's got no idea how far along you are when he joins. Online friends are generally just looking to help each other out. And at that point you guys can move on to Nightfall with another character, or bust out a Weekly Heroic together, or even just say hello and goodbye like civilized people before going your separate ways. And it all comes around. Or are you gonna act like you've never come in on a Nightfall or playlist Strike just to find yourself at the end, fortunate enough to find yourself being rewarded with only minimal effort? With friends like you, suddenly randoms seem so much more attractive.

1 ReplyAnd what the hell do you care? Do i see where you at in the mission before i join? Nope. If we 2 man it, we always ask others if they want to join for loot. Once i joined the exact same time the boss went down, got something good too. The others were laughing, because not everyone's an asshole.
-
You're a douche, might as well take them off your friends list if you act like that
-
7 Repliescause you are a douche your online friends have to suffer? I dont give a shit who joins me, then again my list is set to friends only ALL the time.
-
3 RepliesSo basically you boot people for no reason What a great guy
-
Don't be a baby. They can't see where you are in the strike. They probably just wanna help you, and find out where you are as soon as they join. Don't be a whiney kid.
-
1 ReplyWhy it doesn't hurt you, does it?
-
I pray on people doing nightfalls and when they reach the end, I strike, I've done this on the last six nightfalls, my friends call me Irish, but I'm really just a cheeky stew.
-
3 RepliesWhat do you hate? That you helped someone? No chance of you ever joining on someone else? It's called reciprocation.
-
1 ReplyYou sound like a very pleasant individual....
-
1 ReplyYou need vagina in your life, its never been that serious douchebag
-
12 RepliesWhy would you care if someone joins or not? What is the detriment? Your "gaming ego" doesn't want someone to get something that you worked 30 long minutes to earn? -blam!- you kid.
-
Why not just let them get the drop? You are not a dirty bike seat sniffer are you?
-
5 RepliesDouchebag of the year award right here...
-
7 RepliesSo glad that someone else joining is going to have an impact on the rewards you get.
-
There's also no setting to inv only on nightfall scrub
-
1 ReplyYou know they don't get your loot, right? It does not increase your chances of getting better things if there are less people.
-
2 RepliesHow are people supposed to know what part your on?
-
4 RepliesWhy? It's not like it hurts you if they join.
-
1 ReplyWhat a tool
-
1 ReplyGrow up. Who gives a crap it's not like a nightfall that hard. Person only see a open spot not that your at the end he being helpfull you sir are being an ass.
-
1 ReplyDamn your an a&@ if you have someone in your friendlust that you don't won't to join unfriemd him. He can't see hoe much in xou are in the nightfall.

I can see it both ways. Most people who join ask when they get in, "is it cool if I join?" or something similar. You say no, and they leave. If they don't, then you kick them. If they don't say anything, you say something about not wanting them to join, and if they don't take the hint and leave then you kick them. I'm sure sure people are just joining someone they joined before with no issues. Or are hoping to catch you at the start of the activity. Doesn't make them bad people or lazy. I would ask them to leave before straight kick, but I don't like handing stuff to people if they didn't work for it.
