If you are one of those that is running around with a Plan C or Pocket Infinity, you are the most incompetent, annoying player in Crucible.
Here I am, trying to do the bounties and get the hell out of this infernal mode, and all I get is idiots running around with fusion rifles. You are by far the worst and yes, I am -blam!-ing salty because I don't even know why I keep wasting my time on this game for 4 months now. Being 32? It doesn't matter if the other guy has a fusion rifle, he will still one-shot you.
-
2 RepliesYea plan c is annoying as all hell, and pocket infinity the same, as I did use the pocket infinity a lot when I first got it, so I can say it is insanely powerful but less op with it's 3 shot mag
-
Not even exaggerating here me and my buddy playing free for all last night got into and game where everyone but me and him were running around with a fusion or camping in a room charging it waiting. That was the most annoyed I have ever been at this game.
-
2 RepliesI only play PVP for exotic bounties or if the Iron Banner has something I want. I'm not really good at PVP so I want my weapons to be as effective as possible. My weapons will be the following until something better comes along. Suros Regime (Auto Rifle) Trolley Problem (Fusion Rifle) One way Ticket (Rocket with tracking) If you have a weapon that gives you an advantage use it, you don't get points for getting killed.
-
2 RepliesThis is why I've started to not really care about k/d anymore. To have a good k/d you basically have to camp with a sniper or be godly at close quarters.
-
Real talk don't stop strafing Go Muhammad Ali on their ass and mix up your strafing, firing as you go along. They have to hit you with a full burst to kill you after all. I went into a rumble match with thorn and everybody else was rocking fusion rifles. Long story short, I won with almost double the score as the fusion rifle dudes.
-
1 ReplyI felt like this at one point so I understand where you are coming from. I told my self "if I can't beat'em, join'em." So I started running around with a fusion rifle and I am happy :)
-
Can't blame the players for what the game encourages them to do. Take it with Bungie.
-
3 Repliesi dont have a choice lol. doing the thorn bounty and besides a rocket launcher (damn campers camping there so its pointless to go for it) i only have a rare fusion rifle with void damage.. every kill i get gives 5 points but a death takes two away so its basically 3 for me since im not great in pvp and i need 500
-
1 ReplyLol get ripped. Pocket Infinity FTW!
-
Only good fix is to limit the amount of secondary ammo. People shouldn't be able to run around with their secondary the entire match as if it were a primary.
-
You cannot fix this- people will always use OP weapons. Back in days in CS, there were people who preferred the scout as sniper, myself included (kills if HS only, epic quick scope) - and then those who ran almost always with awp (1 shot anywhere on body sniper) and g3gs (ridiculously OP auto sniper which was damn easy to use). Some get satisfaction in getting kills any which way is easiest. Some prefer satisfaction from that rush you feel when using high aim requirement based weapons and messing with OP weapon guys. That headshot or that double down sniper duel takedown ... is worth it. I had the Plan C as a drop before Xur sold it - shit was ridiculous at close range - stopped using immediately and it sits on my vault, only used in PvE. And skipped the PI bounty when it came up because knew would not be using it anyways. If they nerf OP weapons like PI a lot will stop playing the game once they lose the advantage, rather than improving their own shooting skills.
-
You have almost as many FR kills as you do with a primary. Y U Hypocrite?

1 ReplyEdited by GrianAsteri: 1/12/2015 3:48:44 AMSurely, if someone has the skill to time their charge of 1-2 seconds and aim their shot at what should be a moving target (you're a fool if your not), and be moving themselves, then this takes lots of skill. I dont think Fusion rifles are OP. Maybe you need to learn better how to deal with them? As do many others complaining about them. It could be they are a little OP, I dont dismiss the idea, but its certainly not the massive problem Ive seen some folk claiming it is on these forums.
-
4 RepliesI completely agree. Fusion rifles are too over powered. The majority them (exotic, legendary, rare, uncommon) can one shot you from half the map away. Bungie should either nerf the damage or reduce the range.
-
Bumppp
-
Aha really what a dumb thing to complain about that's what pvp is always gunna be, shotguns or fusion rifles and that won't change its the same for cod and battle field and every other game. I don't mean to be an as.s but deal with it stop playing pvp or get out the old shoty

To Pocket Infinity and beyond!

Edited by Ronin Tanuki: 1/12/2015 5:22:14 PMPlan C's charge up rate is infuriating. Sure, "don't get hit" is great advice, but good luck applying it. Check out this video on YouTube: http://youtu.be/pTm-M1PC-i4

This is my opinion on not just Plan C but all players who use a Fusion Rifle as their Primary weapon
-
The solution to your problem is simple, mate. Don't get hit by the fusion rifle shot. I am not trying to be a smart ass here. It is actually super good advice (no pun intended). A moving target is a fusion rifle's biggest obstacle. Jump, side jump, double jump, strafe and slide. DON'T STAND STILL.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Ovanite: 1/12/2015 3:19:08 PMStrafe. Fusion rifles need to hit you with the full burst to one shot you. Strafe as they shoot and they will miss some of the shots from the burst. Don't stand still or run straight towards someone using a fusion rifle. You will still get killed by them at times but your survival rate will go up. Pocket Infinity is probably the hardest to avoid tho. Does it get annoying? Of course at times. But it is part of the game; so you have to adapt. Also you don't have to engage every enemy you come across. If you hear a guy charging a fusion rifle around a corner, don't charge in. Turn around and go somewhere else. There are 5 other players on the map you can engage. Don't engage people that have the advantage over you if you can avoid it. Engage when you are in the advantageous position.
-
Don't worry. It's all the people doing the Thorn bounty. It'll pass.
-
go left

One tip for dealing with FRs - be conscious of when you are ADS. The fusion rifle really depends on getting that one shot right on target. If you aim down sights you are slowing yourself down, and thus making yourself an easy target. I tend to get killed a lot because I have a bad habit of always ADS, but I've gotten a bit better at moving more when I hear the charge-up sound and timing my attack. This in addition to the strafing tip from Ovanite may help you a bit. Good luck.

Maybe they are doing bounties too

2 Repliesfusions are pretty ez to deal with these days bud now people with 400 ping and shotguns...
