As many of you know already if you want most of your exotics to be over the "300" cap or higher armor and light rating you have to upgrade them via xur. When you do this however all progression you made on that gun is reset. WHY IS BUNGIE DOING THIS YOU ASK? Well peasants the answer is quite simple really. The reason is because it gives you something to do that's all. Bungie was not expecting us to run through the game like we did with almost every exotic in our inventory and many of us having majority of them fully upgraded.
