Dlc Xbox please read
So I found out today that Playstation owners get an extra strike total of 2 in the new dlc vs Xbox owners only getting 1 however xbox owners are paying the same price for the dlc with less content.
I feel that this is not right. I understand that Playstation gets some exclusive perks like weapons and so forth, but it should be limited to wepons,armor, and multiplayer maps, not the core storyline/progression of the game. So as of now when the new dlc comes out we'll be two strikes behind in the story, and probably even more with additional dlcs. At the very least xbox players should pay less than Playstation for the reduced content of the dlc.
Anyone else feel the same way?
Not trying to complain just voicing some feedback as a consumer for what I'm paying for and seeing if others feel the same way.
(Please only use the top link for the poll out date ie system at work gave me problems sorry for the confusion)
For those that have not already bought the dlc, and feel that this is unfair I urge you to not purchase it in protest to activison for their business practice. I unfortunately already have due to the collectors edition.

3 RepliesTimed exclusives may be stupid but you are looking at this wrong. You are not paying for the extra strike PS players are getting. Both consoles are paying for this expansion. http://www.bungie.net/en/event/darkbelow Sony paid Activision money to get early access to other content. It's a timed exclusive but wasn't part of the expansion. It's bonus content.

Time for Xbox users to get loud! This war Bungie has with Microsoft only punishes Destiny fans. I have no interest in getting a PS4 due to there constant network issues and, other than Destiny, exclusives are not interesting to me. This game bridges a lot of different styles of games bringing TPS/RPG lovers, like myself, to the FPS/MMO world. However, Bungie has decided alienating us is the way to go. Bad move, Bungie. Xbox user for life.

Totally agree that xone owners are getting screwed. I was ok with missing out on launch content but to miss out again on dlc and pay the same price is a joke. I have to wonder what type of mindset bungie has to do this. Are you really so arrogant as to think that xone owners won't stop supporting u when u treat us this way. This is just another slap in the face in a long list of slaps that has came from playing destiny from bungie. Enough is enough and it is time to trade this in and move on.

This game is boring after 230 hours because all of the content that you cut out. Screw off bungie

I unfortunately already have due to the collectors edition.[/quote] You do realise that you still get that same content as ps4 is a semi exclusive so you will receive the strike a few months later so no you shouldn't get a discount because you will still be getting all the dlc you just have to wait longer that's all

But taking it out on the Xbox users who made them big is a pretty childish move. When Halo comes out on Xbox One in a few weeks Destiny won't be seeing me for several months.

The new dlc pack that you have to pay for only has one strike, read the summary page for it. The ps exclusive strike is releasing at the same time but is not part of the new crota themed dlc.

But the strikes aren't core story, and I'm sure that Bungie wouldn't leave out a strike for xbox if it was core story. Just putting that out there.

3 RepliesFirst and for most, I'm a Xbox user. That out of the way, I'll say this. PlayStation Paid for the extras. Microsoft did not. Does it suck, yes. Do I feel that there is a Bungie- Microsoft rift? Yes. Do I feel Bungie had turned their backs on Xbox, debatable. Am I upset... NO Microsoft had their chance to get the exclusive and said no. That's life. I'm happy with what we have, but I do hope that this game sees its potential before everyone cries and goes on to another game. Just my 2 cents. Now, bring on the hate... lol

No, I don't feel the same way. You are both getting the same 20 dollar content. PS4 players just get extra. Xbox is not getting less, PS4 is getting more.

I agree. The ps gamers already have an extra strike, and that's bullshit. Weapons and armor exclusives? That's fine, that happens a lot on games (though each console usually has their own) but a whole strike?! When I found that out I was FURIOUS! I payed the same as them, and I'm beating the same dead horse strikes to DEATH trying to keep from dying of boredom! I even ran a twitch stream yesterday taking a shot after every vanguard tiger, just to keep it interesting! (We made it to 20 shots across like 6 hours or so, taking a few breaks in between.) if they get extra strikes, they should pay more, or we should pay less. That's simple economics.

Yeah i feel the same way. I am not paying the same money for a DLC with less content. It would be like me going into a store and buying a something with 1/3 of the contents missing but paying the same price lol.

I do feel that this is not right I'm on ps4 and even tho I had to wait for some DLCS we got the same amount of content but that's how business works I guess to all X Box players I feel for u

Now that everyone has read that, let me go on to say that people need to stop complaining about this extra strike in the Dark Below DLC just for PS owners. Just as many other people have said... no one on xbox is entitled to a lower price because of the lack of this strike. It is FREE ADDITIONAL CONTENT for PS owners... when you buy the DLC, you are buying all of the other content... this strike just happens to be included as an extra on PS systems. Would I like to have the extra strike on Xbox? [i]Absolutely![/i] Do I feel that I am being shortchanged for playing on Xbox? I honestly don't care if there are any exclusives (though a full year is a bit much compared to COD's month). Standard DLC: $20 Xbox DLC: $15-18 PSN DLC: $20 or PSN DLC w/o extra: $15-18
