Those planets would not make any sense to be included - they are gas planets, there is most likely nothing to land on (and if there was, you wouldn't be able to see anything anyways and there is absolutely nothing able to live or withstand their atmosphere). Best theories right now point to a (relatively to the overall diameter) very small MOLTEN core. Not a solid chunk of rock. Atmospheric wind speeds upwards of 1000km/hour.
Mars, the Moon and Venus all make sense scientifically (Venus could theoretically be turned into a much more hospitable planet than it is currently, and Mars once had an atmosphere which allowed liquid water on its surface, and the Moon has no atmosphere at all so as long as you are protected from the solar radiation and have an oxygen supply, you're fine). The Jovian planets do not make sense at all.
Getting some of their moons, though... That would be epic. Imagine standing on Titan and getting a 'Saturn Rise?' Amazing.

The traveler could change then just like Venus

Gimme uranus

I will have Uranus, OP. I want you to know that I will not rest until I get Uranus.
-
umm that's why the vex made structures on them like platforms it would mostly be a inside place but if you go out and stuff you can start to lose health and there could be a mission where you have to seal a air tank to get past cause no other guardians can do it think about that

3 RepliesThe plan was a station near Saturn one of Jupiter's moons and no Uranus They where cut because activion would rather sell a Hal finished game on time then delay it by like 2 months to finish it after done head guys quit

Mercury is all that matters to me honestly. That planet would be amazing to explore! O.o
-
Yes venus makes sense ?

3 RepliesThis is from the Grimoire itself. Jupiter Lord of worlds, massive Jupiter and its moons must have been a cornerstone of Golden Age civilization. But the nature and extent of human presence there is now unknown. Old records refer to cities in ice and world-spanning oceans, but perhaps this is only poetry. The City's ships have rarely attempted any journey to Jupiter or beyond. So yes it was made livable. Like I said before read stuff before you talk about real life sciences.

Mercury is going to be in one of the updates but Idk what theyll do for the other update
-
What bout Mercury or the asteroid belt the would be so cool jumping from asteroid to asteroid

37 RepliesHow about we go to the sun instead then? You would only be able to go to it at night time, and only in the winter when it's colder. I think it would be pretty cool.

this game could have been tremendous...instead it's just blah....i keep thinking about the original vision of destiny and all that could have been. that game could have become legend....instead we get this watered down version that while playing when my GF says "honey i need you to help with blah blah blah" i have not problem dropping the controler. i was really looking for a reason to break up with her and the original vision of destiny was the basket i put all those eggs into. don't get me wrong for some reason i don't understand i keep playing it over and over agian at the same time thinking "wow this is really boring" or "what is the story/reason behind this particular event i'm doing". remember grape drink and grape juice look the same and sometimes taste the same but they are not the same formula. right now destiny is grape drink and the original vision is the grape juice i salavate for.

Edited by df42ee05: 10/2/2014 7:22:55 PMDON GET ME WRONG I LOVE DESTINY ITS LIKE HERION. BUT THINK ITS LIKE THIS WITH THE 500 MILLION DOLLAR BUDGET.. .( SRY ABOUT CAPS) WITH ACTIVISION DESTINY WILL HAVE A STEADY QUARTERLY EXPANSION LIKE WOW OR NEVERWINTER BUR INSTEAD OF A FREE PATCH THESE EXPANSIONS WILL HAVE TO BE BOUGHT I THINK THE OTHER PLANETS THEY REFER TO WILL BE SOLD AS DLC AT A LATER TIME . I WANT TO MAKE CLEAR THINK THIS IS A GUESS, HOWEVER THIS WOULD MAKE SINCE. IT WOULD BE A GREAT BUSINESS MODEL IF I WANTED TO PRUDUCE A FPS SHOOTER MMO WITH GROWTH POTENTIAL. HONESTLY DO YOU THINK A LEVEL 20 SOFT CAP IS POSSIBLE ON A GAME THAT WILL BE ON THE MARKET FOR THE NEXT 5-10 YEARS

Yeah, what do guys think this is, science fiction?

I guess being brought back to life by a AI in the future to fight aliens and techno organic machines is pretty real.

Edited by NormanOsborn: 10/2/2014 6:49:34 PMYou just answered your own question, it's not about the planets but their moons that I've seen people speculating about. Titan, Europa, Io, Ganymede, Callisto, are all pretty sizable bodies that could support colonization potential in the way distant future in our real lives so it only makes sense for them to have been terraformed by the Traveler's macguffin-ness. I still always think about how similar Destiny's solar system is to the anime Cowboy Bebop's solar system. All of the aforementioned moons along with Venus have been terraformed by largely unexplained scientific methods in that universe (except Venus which is implied to have been done by bioengineered plants) so it wouldn't be hard to believe the Traveler could do the same.
