How do you think the game will start?
I was looking at some of the trailers , and I wondered how it would start.

Well, it'll probably begin something like this- You are a Guardian, on a noble quest to the fabled "GameStop" of legend. You will face many obstacles-traffic, pedestrians, maybe even bad weather. But you can do it. Once this majestic quest is complete, return to the City and insert the legendary "Disc Of Power" into your console of choice. Press [quote]play game[/quote] and then win. Simple as that.

I'd prefer to discover the history and lore on my own than have it spoon-fed to me in the first five minutes of the game. That's why I like the Elder Scrolls series. I will sit and actually read the books.

I figure a tale that tells us about the traveler and the alien races and how we colonized the solar system, than maybe us as new recruits in the guardian units that have just realized we can access the guardians power

Probably a loading screen with the Vanguard awaiting your file. You'll choose your defining traits and then the screen will flash to a picture of the traveller from the base station thing with some epic monologue.

3 RepliesI believe it will start with a hazy, sort of incoherent cut scene with a voice recollecting what has happened (based on what is known). Then you will be asked to pick a race once you do, there will be a cut scene giving a back ground of that race and the attributes they hold hinting their weak and strong points. It would be done in a way wherein the history of the race is being told tied in with what has happened in the past and your beginnings. After that you will be asked what class you want to play as, again a cut scene will be shown of their achievements, abilities, history, attributes then you will wake up/appear in the tower, specifically on a district assigned to your class, as per bungie each class will have a specific location on the tower that belongs to them or cater to class specific needs, so I believe this is your starting point. When you awaken/appear; Human race: you are a wounded soldier who will wake-up from coma, and will be called upon by the Director to tell you that you have been chosen as a guardian of the city. Exo race: you are a broken exo soldier reactivated to return to combat and you will be asked to visit the Director for further orders, the Director will give you your mission which is to protect the city as its guardian. Awoken: You are a top ranked soldier trained in the unconventional way of fighting of the awoken you have recently arrived in the city. You live in a community in the outskirts of the city. You have been chosen and sent to the last city as part of the agreement of the alliance formed between the different races, factions, guild, clan etc. The director welcomes you to your new home and provides you your responsibilities as the guardian.

And then in fact, it just got worse than that because this ancient enemy of the Traveler – the Darkness – is returning, and so there’s even more urgency.
