Never been able to get exotics from the campaign skips. To get the renegades exotics, far as I’m aware you need to get exotic keycards from lawless frontiers (chance to drop from chests). Use the keycard for the planet it says and you get it from the chest after using the card. Otherwise complete the campaign on legend difficulty
