Remove negative stat modifiers on fragments

It doesn't make any sense. We shouldn't be punished for having our abilities. Especially now that our armor values are going up in the future

  • Sure but remove the stat buffs as well.

  • Sure someone will have said already, but giving all of the non-Prismatic subclasses at least 5 fragment slots (and even 6 in some cases) would help boost them up a bit. Combine that with the recent roaming super buffs and we got a fun game on our hands!

Reducing them would be fine. Removing them entirely I'm not sure that would be a good idea because bungie will just nerf all of our abilities once again

    • I disagree. It’s another lever that allows Bungie to balance fragments. It means we can get some more powerful fragments with some stat penalties, and some weaker ones with stat buffs. I think it’s more that Bungie needs to go through and rebalance the stat penalties and buffs for a lot of the fragments. That many have gotten buffs and nerfs or haven’t played out like Bungie thought they would and no longer warrant the extras.

    • Honestly you can easily get armor that will give you at least two 100 stats and another with at least 70. Fragments usually give you something extra when it comes to damage so it balances out. I don’t think this stat stuff is as essential as it used to be. You can survive easily with 90 stats and also get totally creamed with triple 100s depending on what you are playing

      • Being the only arcstrider left in D2 I can empathize with this. The fragments on arc are so bad compared to every other subclass especially when it comes to stat boosts

I think it's time we get a 3rd aspect slot for all sub classes as a show of mastery over our skill using it over the years. Allowing for more fragments to be used and making builds more profound for each subclass. Make the subclass pop more than ever. I can already see the pvp players screaming imbalance. Guns only mode. Bungie needs to break the mould and by doing so the game will get better. Creativity is needed for the future success of Destiny. Catering to those who look negatively at that creativity is not beneficial to that success.

        • The only one that doesn't make sense to me is echo of undermining's - 20 when dominance exists on prismatic at -10

        • Absolutely agreed, if the max stats are going to be 200 then like hell am I going to use a negative stat modifier.

          • It does make sense. They are supposed to come with trade-offs.

            • I think reducing/rebalancing the stat modifiers could make sense. Since they’re rebalancing how stats work too, they can better fine tune using things like -5 or -3 or -7 instead of only multiples of ten. There are some fragments that are really powerful and should have a stat penalty imo, but there are a lot of strong fragments that give a stat buff or weak fragments that give a penalty. I think just a quick pass to make sure stat penalties are well justified and used more sparingly would be perfectly fine.

            • Sometimes it’s worth it man or u could just look at the other ones and see which ones are almost as good and don’t have a negative effect
