Do we HAVE to play as the new prismatic class?

... Or can we just stick with our old builds? In PVP, I just like playing the way I like to play without re-learning a bunch of new sh;t . I'm old, I've got lots of other things to do.

  • The campaign probably will not be optional, since they have done this for the past two darkness subclass campaigns. Most likely it will be optional after that.

  • I really hope not, because using a Darkness Class is a deal breaker for me. I hear ya mate. I'm old too, and I have the money to spend on other games if I have to learn new things. This isn't "Light vs Dark" - it's the distinct inability to have the balls to identify and be loyal to a side chosen. Gag. Are they doing what Star Wars did? They ruined the entire saga for me. "Balance" right? -blam!-.

  • yeah you have to at some points , if i'm not wrong in the trailer you can see a subjugator having the prismatic effect on , this mean that for remove the shield you have to use the new subclass.

  • I think they said something about needing Transcendence to break certain shields in the campaign

The subclasses have very few fragments and aspects and only access to some of the worst abilities from each subclass like you can't get throwing hammer for example. They basically get 1 ability, 2 fragments, 1 aspect, and 1 super from each subclass. I think you might be forced to equip it during the campaign but it sounds like bungie wants this to happen less as they made it sound like it's equipped at like 1 spot and then you don't need to touch it again Edit: Also it sounds like there's unique tuning like the radiance fragment is nerfed on Prismatic yet Diamond lance is buffed

    • The new class will break the game no doubt especially pvp so you might want to rethink that one 😂
