The stasis overshield is going to be replaced with Frost Armor at some point. We don’t have a whole lot of details about it as of now.

Correct. Ice or frost armor is coming and sooner than we think. Apparently some credible leaks came out and they are doing another update to stasis when they launch the "Into the Light" filler before the expansion. Ice armor is part of that... oh..As well as 15 legendary weapons from D1 coming over with this filler launch.
