Hi, Apologies, I dont take to the forums very often, but this has left a bitter taste. I have been playing since very early D1 and so have gone through all of D2. I dont tend to upgrade lots of guns or armour, but play very regularly (4-7 times a week) often helping others as well as the game content i enjoy. My legendary shards afford me the flexibility to get bounties (via glimmer) upgrades, raid flags, etc as I need. I have spent the last years building the 60,000 I have as my reward for playing to give me that flexibility. I want more bounties for the seasonal event no worries, trade in some shards fill my glimmer. But Bungie have chosen to take this away from me. If I want more glimmer now I have to waist more time doing activities I dont need to do, to get glimmer. I dont have more vault space to hoard guns or armour to give me back my flexibility. worse still I get nothing in return for my shards, so it feels like i am punished on top of this. The only people to gain are new light players or the few long term players who spend shards as they get them. I have no positive to the removal of shards, other than making the game more simple for new players. and lets be honest how simple are we going to get? Bungie please please please, stop punishing players that have supported and often defended you and your game through thick and thin. I am not angry. I am disappointed. Will I cancel my order for Final shape... No I have invested to much of my time into the game not to see how the story ends. Will I re-evaluate my game choice beyond final shape? Well to be honest any more changes like this and I think Bungie will be making that choice for me. My message to Bungie, if indeed they read this (and I have my doubts at this point) If you are not going to reverse this, and I have no illusion that my post will have any effect on that. But, as at least some sort of good will gesture, trade our shards for bright dust on a 1 - 1 basis. Make my time worth something (as right now you are basically saying its not!!)
