to be fair you are not alone. ive had mates who left 2 seasons ago are are so much better off mentally. off playing other games that are just as fun and respect the players time in the game. cant say the same for destiny in the latter. this game for many is taxing for what they provide. if something doesnt dramatically change over the next year many more will leave the game behind. I do beleive that this game is no longer worth the price there are asking. the quality of life is just not getting better its stable but not getting better. yes somethings do get better but others suffer for it. this season in terms of story is the best we have had this last year but it has to more than that. dont get me wrong i will keep playing this game i enjoy it for the most part and will keep paying each year to fill my addiction, but it is a big ask for many for what they give us year over year. I am slowly losing interest, over the seaon over season model its just not good. bungie need to change things up soon. after the final shape bungie should realy consider starting on a new engine, this current one is completely outdated and is based of a halo engine not to mention P2P in 2023. They have shown they cannot support the connections with P2P, too many people getting error coded due to that model and STILL blaming the players internet. ive said it once and ive said it a thousand times bungie need to get their head out of their -blam!- and notice that it is connection to the host not an indiviuals internet you are connecting to the bungie servers through someone else. again i will continue to play but others will just leave many have and many will.

Having the exact same thoughts currently, will still hop in on reset day for an hour tho cause i know i would not just completely uninstall and never look back. I loved the game since 2014, sadly theres no direct competition, otherwise i would pull the plug aswell. But yea i am definitely playing A LOT less since Bungie has given up on the game and desperately tries to get playtime up with excessive grinds and stupid low drop rates for desirable stuff with chores on top of chores instead of the focus being fun. Just completely over it. And i played through every single low time in Destiny. Since 2014. But this Bungie, the current Bungie, is just SO SO far from what they used to be that i can not justify wasting my valuable time in the game anymore. It's so sad what this companies priorities have become ever since Activision ditched them. They promised us the world after their "independence". Then followed up with ruining their only curent game on the market, entirely focusing on monetization, selling their soul to a chinese mobile game company and then selling out for Sony to make games for THEM. Every competent Bungie dev that was left is now working on their upcoming new games and the skeleton crew that's left working on D2 is a bunch of junior devs with no passion. Good luck to Bungie with those upcoming games, you're gonna need it. With this attitude, i will never buy a Bungie game again.

Here’s a much less emotional take: I just don’t play as much as I used to and it solved all my destiny problems. I log on when I want to play, not when I “have” to play. Who cares if I miss some pinnacles, I don’t. Who cares if I’m not first to power level cap, I don’t. Who cares if I consume content slower, I just don’t anymore. I only play one character and I just enjoy what I like about the game. (Ie: I Solo flawlessed the legend exotic mission and I enjoyed it today) I prob won’t play much the rest of the week. See how that works?

I'm sure you have a reason for creating an account just to make a post on your way out the door. Sounds like the game isn't fun for you anymore and it's time for you to move on. I am really enjoying where Destiny is right now. Story mode is great, good writing, interesting stuff happening. Exotic mission is cool, replayable,with scalable difficulty and NO champions, and it upgrades the pulse each week. Replay done right! Iron Banner is different each time. I love this variant, objectives actually matter! You want good team mates? BE a good team mate. My auto rolled with Voltshot, continuing a long practice of PvP giving me stuff I will use in PvE. The PvP meta has moved away from handcannons and shotguns. Never thought I'd live to see it! The seasonal activity is very good, 3 man, and just challenging enough to not be boring. Dungeons keep getting better and better. Bungie, give that team a bonus or a raise or at least more work to do, they're crushing it. I love the sidearm and the scout, and the hats are pretty cool even if the Warlock one is a little goofy. Crafted an Ikelos SMG with Voltshot. YES, Bungie, more like this please! Crafted my Trustee and Disparity yesterday, really enjoying the process of getting red borders and leveling up guns as I get to know them via base models. This week I helped someone clear DSC for the first time. Taught someone else their first KF. Ran Vow with all challenges with another group. Cleared VoG with all shader pickups and Vex catalyst for someone else. Raiding is still some of the best fun to be had in this game IMO. That's been the last week for me in Destiny, I got to play a lot on vacation. Pysched to keep going with the rest of the seasonal content and spend time in this world Bungie has created for us. I'm not writing this to refute you or argue with you, just providing an alternate view of the same exact game. You’ll be back. I was gone for a year and a half and I’ll probably quit half way through Lightfall and miss out on half the seasons I prepaid for again. After Sunsetting and Shadowkeep sucking and paid Transmog I quit. Sunsetting isn’t an issue anymore and Transmog grind is acceptable. They’ll fix what they break and then they’ll break more things and fix it again and the cycle will repeat. Destiny is unparalleled in its gunplay, gameplay and build crafting. Not even Diablo has builds as complex or diverse as achievable in Destiny Borderlands is the closest thing and it can’t compare.

Everyone he's super serious about leaving . Instead of quietly leaving he dramatically came to the forms and used alot of capital letters. He won't be back for lightfall . It's not a rant, but it is .

Iam slowly getting their myself. I usually enjoy gearing up my titan and warlock but now iam just losing that mindset to gear both up. I may finish this out and just gear up my warlock but finding myself slowly not wanting to log in anymore. Not bashing the game at all just losing interest in it
