There’s no valid reason that 9/12 IB pinnacles I’ve grinded for have been energy weapons. RNG is busted and has been for a long time. This happens too often for it to be random. Out of 8 slots that could roll a different drop, the chances of 75% of them being the same slot should be absurdly unlikely. If this was a one off occurrence then I’d call it bad luck, but I’ve already seen other posts about excessively unlikely same slot drops and it’s happened to me many, many times in the past. What’s going on here?

There is no such thing as RNG in Destiny. All the RNG number generator does is create a point in a sample space, what happens next is in the complete control of Bungie, drop rates frequency, repeats, nature of reward are vary tunable and Bungie have said as much. I would not hold your breath for a change the number of time that Bungie have admitted they got it wrong can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Frustrating, the Destiny RNG God has always been a right stingy sod and also appears to be very forgetful on what you already have.

It should guarantee the missing armor/weapon piece when at the final power level.
-
RNG leveling is fun 🤮

If you ask me. I would want more weapons from iron banner. Armor is useless after iron banner is over. If you're struggling that much for armor, go do a raid.

What’s going on here?
It's by design. I'll explain. You see, they've got their creativity down to a science. The science of husbandry. "Husbandry" means the scientific control and management of a branch of farming and especially of domestic animals such as hamsters. In this game, it's called hamster wheeling. That's the extent of their creativity. The science of making wheels for hamsters to run. State of the game. Enjoy! LMAO!!!

You’ll always come back to the slot machines in the end.

My friend’s last 6 pinnacle drops have been primary and I’m getting constant duplicates as well. We just want the light grind to be over with so we can do what we want in the game versus what we have to. That’s why we hate being disrespected by the duplicates and making the light grind take longer than it needs. They need to bring the smart system back where it doesn’t make it as bad and protects you to some extent during the pinnacle cap grind at least

Ive gotten five pinnacle kinetics in a row. Granted im im still trying to get to 1550 so it didnt impact me too hard but it still sucks.
-
Oh, something new,… …Wait,… My bad, this has been a thing for 6 years. Nevermind.

Edited by chickengoujohn93: 3/21/2022 1:16:43 PMDoes it? The artefact system invalidates menial light level gains. Doesn’t matter if your gear is 1559 or 1560, especially when it will be another few weeks before GMs and Master Vow of the Disciple

2 RepliesIt is all done on purpose. As many suggested, the best way to play Destiny not to really care about any of it.
-
Quit leaving it to chance and grind XP for the artifact. The dips will happen eventually

3 RepliesEdited by MrHokey: 3/20/2022 5:06:47 PMthere are at least 15 pinnacle drops available per character this week without even touching the raid. i dont know what you're complaining for, pinnacles have never been so accessible.
-
The only good news is next season the pinnacle cap will raise by only 10. We won't have to worry about this annoying grind until Lightfall.
-
People keep -blam!-, but until they stop paying in big enough numbers NOTHING is goin to change. And this is not goin to hapen as Destiny audience has addincion problem.
-
All of your characters are 1572 or higher, so it really doesn't seem like it's hindering you in any way.
-
1 ReplyGet fried, I’m already 1560. Better luck next time bucko ☠️☠️☠️☠️
-
They should do 7 bounties 4 for armour and bond and 3 for each weapon type. Just my thoughts.. One time, at band camp I got 4 bonds
-
My RNG is all about the gloves

1 ReplyBungie reads the post “So they want more shaders?”

1 ReplyI've kept track of drops long enough to know that Bungie has something extra going on in their drop algorithms. You've probably moved too fast for this week and they put the brakes on you. I mean even if you assume that the gear slot buckets aren't an even 12.5% chance, let's say energy weapons are 20% just as an example. There's a great website calculator that does the work for you on these odds. https://stattrek.com/online-calculator/binomial.aspx The cumulative probability of what you said actually happening at 20% drops are energy is 0.00006219776 or 0.006219776%. It's 1 in 16,078. It's not outside the realm of reasonability that this wouldn't happen to an unfortunate soul in the Destiny here and there. It should be expected really. But I see similar things happen far to often for it to be a normal distribution.

It’s helps if you stop caring. I stopped caring and just played the game WAY back in Season of Opulence and it’s pretty great. I don’t really do the weekly pinnacle stuff anymore… I just play the game when I want to and don’t when I don’t want to.

4 pinnacles, ALL BOOTS! It’s ridiculous!
