They do listen to the public.....I mean we got bad ideas for PvP like freelance and flawless pools Instead of solving the brutal issue of match making.

And the match making still sucks.

how is that faulkt of the player if Bungie cannot implement it correctly?
how is that faulkt of the player if Bungie cannot implement it correctly?
Since you're a little slow on the uptake....... It's their fault because they're not unilaterally putting pressure on Bungie to fix it. Frankly I had to quit caring once the bad ideas got acceptance because that proved something to me. Bungie beyond the shadow of a doubt will pick an easier garbage idea than put in the hard committed work to PvP that's needed to fix it's underlying issues. In short it's the players fault for thinking badly. Bungie's for implementing those bad ideas.

In short it's the players fault for thinking badly. Bungie's for implementing those bad ideas.
That is utter BS. How many player disagreed with Sunsetting? Did Bungie not to do it? This notion of players can dictate things are unrealistic, the only way to do that is tk get organized. By history, gamers rarely unite behind something like this. The game is played with players age very young to very old. Bungie should be aware that not all suggestions coming from adults with gaming industry experience therefore its their responsibility to pick and choose. They make bad choices, it's on them. Don't blame 15 years old for egotistical about the game, they are kids to begin with.

Sunsetting and PvP are two massive different topics. Cherry picking must be a profession of yours. You asked for an example and I gave one. You all forget that unified majorly or above then most of the time Bungie will do something. So yes I blame those egotistical clowns in their teens but they're victims of ignorance. But 90% of the time it's people between 20-40 who can instigate change. The problem is the wider population isn't......educated on what should be happening. So we end up with bad ideas from the community and bad implementations from bungie. Give it up before I get seriously pedantic. You wanted to know how it was the players fault I told you. Then you go looking at an entirely different topic. Circumstantial but doesn't deny that Bungie have listened to the community. Remember......Sunsetting got removed.

Edited by wolbeas: 3/11/2022 5:12:57 AMI did not ask for an example. You did not reply to my quetions, you made up your own questions and answered them. PvP and Sunsetting are different topics but we are not talking about PvP or sunsetting. What we are talking about Bungie listening players or not. and those are examples of how Bungie listens You talked like Bungie listens and implements everything people ask for which you were wrong that's why i gave you an example where enough people disagreed, Bungie still did it. And why Bungie reversed their decision again? because of feedback or because of they started to lose money. That is not listening to the player, that is listening to the money. You can get as pedantic as you want, that doesnt change the fact that you are the one cherry picking examples. The every example where players were listened, I can give you one where they did not. What you are doing is that if you have seen single advise on a topic on the forum you take that Bungie listened to that and that is a child throwing a tantrum just like the people you whine about.
-
If I was whining and tantrumming I'd be losing sleep over it for one. I gave up on Bungie getting PvP much less anything else in the right place a while ago. Reality can be tough for people to read let alone bear especially these days in the age of fragility. "PvP and Sunsetting are different topics but we are not talking about PvP or sunsetting." Yes we were the second both were mentioned. You brought up sunsetting and frankly the player base put pressure (monetary / vocally it doesn't matter it was unified) to have the decision reversed by Bungie and they did so. The short of it was Bungie sledgehammered an issue when a more precise approach could have been taken. I'll now address the PvP decisions that were begged for by the community and were implemented by Bungie. The flawless pool , freelance match making. Both of which have been added. Are they a mistake? A big one but psychological moves especially easy ones are always taken in by suckers with poor mental fortitude. "That is utter BS. How many player disagreed with Sunsetting? Did Bungie not to do it?" - Where you began cherry picking a decision that was reversed by players using money / vocalising their distaste for it. You need to understand that Bungie will in some cases do something that we all don't like. Regardless of feedback because on their end of the spectrum......they want to see how it plays out live. We could go back and forth on decisions all day so I will go straight to where my point stands. Unless the playerbase in 80-90% unified unilaterally and consistently you will not see a change. Unless it's a very easy change to implement you'll see everything else never get listened to. The only thing that's funny is people saying Bungie don't listen, they cherry pick listen and the easier and dumber the idea........the more likely it's going to be implemented and then listed as "what the people wanted". With that all said. I did answer you. Straight at first but you brought up sunsetting and we've ended up doing the cherry drop answers. That could go on for eternity. If you've missed the point this time. I'll try a final time. After that I'll have to respectfully move on.

You can write it longer if you'd like but that doesn't change the fact that we wont agree. You are not holding Bungie's employees responsible, whose job is to develop games and make the right decision as developers, directors etc. But blame your average gamer that throws ideas on top of their heads because when they don't, people like you will attack them on the forums like it has always been done with saying "that's not feedback, that's whining" I understand your point, but your point does not make sense. You are angry at something and taking it out on other player because you can't really whine to Bungie for it. The moment you start holding responsible those whose job is making games instead those whose job isnt, then maybe you will get it. You are trying to make point of Bungie listens but you can't tell the difference between listening to players and forced to. Listening when the company is cornered isn't listening. What you are saying is like "a company investigates harassment claims after they become public" that's not being helpful, that's damage management.

So you did miss my point and tried to be more pedantic about it instead. Welp the long way round you took but you still miss it. What I'm saying is very simple. I'm mildly disappointed. By both Bungie themselves and the player base who struggle to use their heads. I don't attack stupidity. I try to actually impart what knowledge I do have to share. The problem 98% of the time. Is most of them can't think long term and what seems like a good idea to them......in a long term sense is a bad one. The truth hurts and sometimes you need to hear it to grow. To say Bungie don't listen to their players is an invalid statement as it is a valid one. Forced or otherwise. It's the same story. TLDR: I hold the dev and the players to account. Both have influence. One has to be unified and consistent the other can do as it pleases. In the end. It's not truly worth expecting the player base to act unified and consistent, much less thinking long term. But you can always count on Bungie to mess up where it counts.
