I’d like to say first off I bet everyone is gonna downvote this which will just prove my point.
Seriously no one revives or answers my forum posts. They threaten to kick me from raids when I’m doing the 3rd most damage and doing everything right but they assume I’m not because I’m not talking on my mike because I prefer to concentrate on what I’m doing and only use it when it’s needed for fallouts and stuff.
The last group I raided with was literally the most toxic I’ve ever come across. I was literally the only one opening portals and they’re mad because I’m not talking and threatening to kick me. I’m so done with this community. Y’all can eat a dick. Unless you are one of the nice ones.
And bungie you need to add a dedicated bug report system because no one sees my posts.

Edited by Ido X: 8/1/2021 9:32:43 AMBecause most of the nontoxic players left the game and we are stuck with what's left.

Next time, just thank them nicely for the opportunity and tell them you were getting tired of carrying them.

It's because this community is obsessed with efficiency and, above that, winning. If they lose anything they'll blame the easiest scapegoat they can (lag, cheating, the least liked non-clan member in the raid, etc) just because it's better than accepting that they weren't at 100% efficiency. Winning is 90% of their enjoyment in the game. Doing it efficiently is 8%. Having fun is 2%. And before some jackass comes in saying "WhAt If WiNnInG iS tHeIr fUn???" Well, feeling good for 5 minutes after stressing and sweating for 20-30 or more minutes is hardly any kind of fun at all. It's much better to enjoy the entire process all the way up to the end, and have the memory of a fun, entertaining activity. 5 minutes of feeling valid, coupled with the memory of a bland sweatfest of callouts and blame for every mistake, or laughing and fun the entire time, and a fantastic memory to look back on now and then? Do you want to be irritated every time you look back, or do you want to smile? Seriously, OP. If you want fun in this community, non-toxic people, just make a clan and set your description to reflect YOUR personal goals. Like-minded people will join you over time. Best of luck to you, mate.

Edited by EmeraldWaves996: 8/1/2021 11:13:45 PMMike<Mic Sorry bud but people are just gonna be sweaty sometimes. Gotta roll with the punches and not take it personal yanno. To be honest I don’t think the community is all that toxic but that’s my experience.
O Reader Mine
Short answer: They weren’t raised right. You need to find the players that have manners and add them - they exist, just harder to find.
-
Eh, a lot of the people in this community have small brains and probably get sh*t on daily and take their frustrations out on innocent nice people. It’s annoying to see, but unfortunately, these types of people will always exist.
-
Here's some tips mate. Revive those who revive you, if someone doesn't and dies... Ignore them. They'll learn the lesson. If someone threatens to kick you, leave. You shouldn't have to put up with that crap. As for the toxic now comment? Mate, the community has been toxic since halo XD. Man those were the days where there was no filter and you would sit back and have a laugh. Who would win the argument? The racist A hole? The kid eating his mic? The mother. The edgy teen? No, it was almost always the quite guy who GOES OFF and shut everyone up.

Relax buddy. There are PLENTY of great people playing Destiny. All my friends list is super nice people. Screw the toxic ones! Don’t stress yourself out for idiots.
-
Last time I was playing a strike I accidentally fell off the map and both my teammates ran right past me and didn’t revive me Not really toxic, but it pissed me off more than it should’ve lol
-
Depends on situations, bad raid groups which could be toxic right off the bat(I usually create my raids). The silence can be nerve wracking even if you are doing it right(Don’t need to be friends but as long as you are doing call outs). And some people are just asses.
-
Lol the community for Bungie's current game has always been toxic. You should've seen Zanzibar or the Halo Reach Forums.

Sounds like your main complaint is about you not talking… Regardless of how well you are doing, silence in a team activity is not exactly doing well. This frustrates a lot of people. Not just in video games. A team communicates. Who is being toxic in this scenario? You, selfishly, do not adjust to the team to communicate any/all scenarios because by your opinion, you are concentrating. While globally, it is team work 101 that all participating team mates communicate. Why? Because in a team, it is not about you. It is about the team. You may be top fragging in something like a raid… but that does not mean you are doing what the team needs. Your post is actually part of the toxicity. You are blaming others for being one way while you clearly write out that you want it your way. In a team activity, this is the largest toxic pool of people to exist. Work, games, sports you name it… You may be doing your thing… but players are doing their thing and if there is no communication from one player, the other players end up in mistakes. I am/would be the same as your teammates.. communicate or go find a team that does not care. This is not toxicity, this is called not working well together. The odd one out is the toxic one. Sometimes in life, it is the stone wall that is in the way.

I have done VoG with saying under 10 words the entire time. The final encounter of DSC (which is the only thing you would be doing for eyes) can be done without any1 saying a word besides simple designations. Idk what people stress communication so much for things that are imprinted in our brains.
-
1 ReplyIf a deaf team was able to communicate and beat the leviathan raid in Y1, you can learn to communicate in a raid.
-
the overuse of the word toxic has made it lose all meaning at this point.
-
1 ReplyI’m sorry what 😂, raids require communication. I agree that the community is toxic, partly because the world as a whole is becoming more toxic. But this whole post is your own fault. Sounds like your playing the wrong game
-
Raiders…..
-
You said you weren’t communicating when raiding, did you forget to mention you died to your team? Kind of important if you want revived Also LFG it’s hit or miss and it sounds like you have a lot of misses
-
2 RepliesI guess being a realist is toxic
-
Damage is nowhere near as relevant in a raid than properly communicating, doing your job and not dying. Be completely honest with yourself, were you failing to do one of those three things? I have never, and I mean never, in the 7 years I have been raiding on this game, encountered any toxicity in raids that came from absolutely nowehere, but I have seen a tonne of toxicity flying around from those three things.

Because the sheep know deep down the game is hemorrhaging & take out their frustration on Lfg sheep

16 RepliesReasons 1. Because Bungo has created a culture of efficiency. We are encouraged by the developer to run things over and over again. People who get in the way of that "suck at D2". Additionally, because there is such an emphasis on repetition, people start playing this game like a job, so they can be more like the people who actually do get paid money to play the game (streamers). That's not how people are supposed to play video games, and the attitude reflects that. 2. Because every part of this game has its own little "in crowd", like the cool kids table in middle school lunch rooms. If you don't talk like them, use their strats, or bow down to them like gods, you "suck at D2". 3. Because hardly anyone realizes that stats in this game are useless nonsense. When you can six stack farm control against new lights and boost your KD spread, it gives people an inflated sense of ego. Stomping noobs doesn't make you good, but enough people think it does that it's become a way for people to measure their "skill". In reality, it's a torture score. Who can make the game the most miserable for those not in the in crowd. 4. Since people use this game as some sort of sick power fantasy, when they do get good enough, they use their accomplishments in this game as some ad hoc value measurement for their own life. That's very, very bad, and people are super toxic when they do it. "I've done more raids than you" is both a flex and a power move, like expecting sex because they bought you dinner. All the reasonable people left this game a long time ago, because at some point you just can't keep going at the pace the streamers demand Bungo make content. It's gross, tbh. Even now people in my clan have been doing lfg raids and they're bringing that attitude back into my discord where I have to shut it down. Telling people their call outs for raids are flawed and wrong because it's not what some dude with a thousand clears uses is like upper level stupid.

Sad but true ! It’s just a video game .

4 RepliesPlayed 7 games of comp tonight, lost 1st then won 6 in a row, and not a single bag to be seen. Damn toxic playlist lol

7 RepliesBecause the game sucks and isn't living up to it's potential.
